If this is the car that was actually feature in the Motor Trend Mag. It would be origionally J.H.'s car. At a Viper Day's event it was wrecked & then put back together. Better put it up on a lift to check it out before you bid.

Good observation about this perhaps being the car that hit the wall.

The price all depends on who wants what. The bodywork on this car would cost $20,000 to replicate. If someone really wanted that look, they'd be better off buying this one at a slight premium to a stock bodied car. If nobody at the auction values that look, then it'll have to be discounted.

If its not a mess, then a high 40's bid would be a bargain and a low 50's would be fair.

This car is from Bowling Green Ky. it is the opriginal Motor Trend Car. This guy takes exceptional care of his cars. He has many! I met him in BG at the V-10 Naitonals. he did not bring any of his cars but he stopped in to say hello.

Frank's on the money here. It was originally Gary Lashinsky's car, he sold it to John.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall somewhere in the ownership chain, a fellow (in AZ?) bought it to race, engine broke, and was replaced by a pretty nice piece from a top notch race shop.... not J.H.

Unless you know what you are buying or have it inspected/checked out I would not buy anything at an auction. You can get great deal if you really know what your getting or you really can pay to much if you get caugt up in the heat of the moment at an auction(especially high profile high action Barrett/Jackson) just my .02
