Venzano Interior\'s???

I've been thinking on upgrading my interior. Has anyone tried Venzano interiors? Are they the only people that do Viper interiors? I mostly want to replace/upgrade the center console and the doors. Hard plastic is not that comfortable on the arms and it looks kind of "cheap" anyway. But I'm not sure I want to spend $5K for the complete interior including new seats. Any thoughts?

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

mes,
i was seriously considering having my whole interior done before the car even got to me from woodchuck.
the reason i bailed on the idea beside the cost ($5K)
was not wanting to rip the seats out of a brand new car.

maybe in the future they are nice looking.

what colors are you considering for the center arm rest and doors?
i know the whole yellow interior is alittle overwhelming...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

I have a blue GTS so I was looking at the Blue interior. Some of the pictures I have seen just have too much blue for me, kind of overwhelming. I was thinking of a interior like the pic below, except in blue of course. Just blue in the center console and on the door, with blue stitching for the leather. Don't know if I want to replace the seats or not, I think the stock seats look fine. What to do, decisions, decisions........

I plan on going to a local and replace the center seat insert with a fine piece of red leather which should be easy for any reupholsterer. Plus it should be light years less than some of the Viper and Corvette aftermarket interior specialist's prices.

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

I have also considered an interior upgrade. I want my Viper to look as awesome on he inside as it does on the outside!!!
I also have NO idea how much it costs. If anyone has some real life experience I also want to know. (I too lazy to call Verzano)

BOBK...let me/us know what kind of pricing you get.
Thanks,
Fast Eddie

I don't know the cost, but I can tell you that of the 30 or so applications I have seen, all of the owners were more than pleased and felt the cost was justified.

I think the cost depends on which package you go with?

I kinda like the stock Viper interior. I think if I was considering spending $5K on the interior I would sooner look at tech upgrading it, StreetPilot III talking GPS, a nice DVD playing head unit, etc. Just my two cents.

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

I spoke to Tony the owner and he said the center console, door panels and lower dash (just below your knees) would be $2,300 then the seats added another $3,200 I think this was the prices quoted I don't remember for sure, everything was $5,500 He said there is about a 8 week lead time but you only will be without the panels for about one week for them to do the work. Also the seats are new so I could sell my existing seats for $???. That's why I'm thinking of not having the seats done just the trim pieces. I was hoping there was some more places that did these interior trim pieces. If I'm going to spend $5K on the car I think I would do some head work instead of the interior and add 50+ HP.

I too was very interested in doing the knee bolsters, door panel scallops, and console done in a color slightly contrasting the interior...just to break up all the black. I sent an e-mail and never got a response. Maybe I'll try a local upholstery shop.

I'm going to a local upholsterer next week. Will let you know about the cost, how long it takes, what they have to do, etc. Planning on just changing the center leather on the seats.

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

yes, 5-6 for an interior for a viper. WOW!

I was looking into it also and found a local auto interior shop here in town (every town has 'em) that would do the exact same work for 1/3 to 1/4 of the price... Look into it, your pocketbook will thank you.

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

I did the venzano seats. My 96 rt/10 black with silver stripes and the everything black interior needed a facelift. I have seen the entire interior package in cars and it is overwhelming. The new black seats with the silver stripe with the silver snake head was just the right interior touch to match the cars stripes. I paid 2400 for the seats from venzano. Plus they are a better bolster than the stock seats.

Re: Venzano Interior\'s???

To begin, I hate to talk bad about a vendor.

However, I spoke to Tony about doing the interior of my car. The ad in the latest Viper mag really caught my eye as I have a yellow RT/10.

He sent me a sample, gave me pricing of close to $7000.

When the sample came, I noticed the yellow was not the yellow that was in the ad. It wasn't even close to the 2001 yellow. Then I took the sample home to my wife to check out. Out of curiosity I started scratching the sample with my thumbnail. I wasn't gouging it, just lightly scraping.

The yellow came right off. Didn't even take long before the yellow dye or whatever came off.

I can't imagine spending 7k on an interior, only to have the yellow come off and end up looking like crap.

(Just my $0.02)

If anyone knows of a good shop in the New England area, please email me. (something that will last)
