I am swapping out my wheels and 10 year old tires. I have been in the hunt for the best tire. I stumbled upon a Road/Track article on the Bugatti Veyron, which has some big ass Michelins! I'm guessing tires this wide aren't available to the regular public?

While I'm at it, anyone have tire recommendations for 505A ccw wheels 18"/19" setup?

I saw the Veyron when it was at the dealer here in Miami. There was a Bugatti engineer with the car. He said the tires could be replaced for $10,000.

I have the 505's with Pirelli P0 275/35/18 fronts and
Pirelli P0 355/25/19 rears

I haven't put a lot of miles on them yet....but so far I really like the way they feel.

I have Michelin Pilot Sports 275/35-18 fronts and 345/30-19 rears. I didn't like the look of the Pirelli 355 rear, it was too thin and just didn't match the look of the car.

I was looking at the P0's, but they aren't in stock anywhere, nor will they be anytime soon.

How do you like the 505s now that you have them on the car? Do they look better in person? I hate making large purchases online =(

You wouldn't happen to have side by side pics of the two would you?
(not that it matters since the 355's are not in stock anywhere)

I have always liked the look of the 505's and I know what you mean about spending $$$$ without actually seeing them in person. The people at CCW were awesome to work with. They were very helpful over the phone and email. I was going to order everything through Partsrack...but since I was in direct contact with CCW at that point, I just ordered direct. ( sorry JonB )

Those blue calipers against that beautiful graphite really destroys the look of those wheels (and car). I suggest black or graphite calipers. It's positive criticism. Please don't take offense.

If I am not mistaken, the tires on the Veyron are specially made for that car and will only fit that wheel. They get smaller towards the inside edge of the tire I believe.

..and the rims are $40k too. For one rim you could get yourself a Cheby Cobalt or a used viper for all four.
