Hey guys.

I'm ---> <--- this close to being ready to buy my first Viper (plan on: 93-94ish Red rt/10 in the $35k range), and I am wondering...

How did most of you make that purchase? Did you finance it, or just pay for it? I'm not able to just pay for it atm, and am seeking the best way to finance my new glory. Any suggestions?

The classifieds point me to Peoplefirst.com, but I've never heard of them. Seems you apply for the loan, and they send you a check you can use to buy it new/used and even from an individual.

Any help would be vastly appreciated

About 2 years ago I was deciding on what type of truck to get. Before I made my decision I went online and applied for a loan. I don't remember the website, but it was great. By the time I was ready to purchase, I had the three checks from 3 different companies for the loan amount I needed. All were good interest rates with no prepayment penalties. The dealership wanted to finance me so they beat the best deal I had out of all the checks. Hope this helps!

Try lendingtree.com.

Upside: 1 form to fill out, up to 4 offers.

Downside: For those 4 offers, your credit it hit 5 times, plus, I've never gotten an offer from them for a car (just a house). For some reason a traditional lender didn't want to lend a 25 year old who lives in an apartment $70,000.

Go figure.

Ditto the comment on Lending Tree. One of the responses came from Synergy Federal Savings Bank in NJ in 24 hours. I ended up going with them at a very good rate (with my excellent credit)about 1 1/2% below market. Very nice people to work with and very flexible in addressing your needs. Doesn't matter if you're buying from a dealer or private seller. Yes - they lend on new or used exotic cars. I think the term ranged from 36 - 72 months.
