GTS Dean -

I'll bet with a 123mph trap speed, if you put Kumhos on there you would run 11.4s-11.5s easy.

Do it, it'll make you happy. :)

I ran 5 runs launching at 2000rpms, all were 1.8 60's and three were 11.8s and 2 were 11.9s all at 120mph.

It was that last run where I launched at 3500 and cranked off the 11.67.

Get some Kumhos,

Howard

im gettin a set pretty soon.

Wonder what I'd do in the 1/4

Nice 11.71 completely stock. Is there any difference between a 99' RT/10 and a 2001 besides a fresher motor?

99's has forged pistons and also make a good amount more power from alot of mods then the creampuffs (which are 2000 - current).

Alot of people say they also make a few more pony's on the dyno STOCK but not very much maybe 5 - 10 on average

The 2000s and newer have the same cam specs EXCEPT the earlier model Gen 2s have 6 degrees more valve overlap, that is the big difference.

I drove my buddies Stock 99 GTS except for filters, I gotta be honest, it felt no lumpier than my cam???

Also, like STUGOTS said, the earlier cars have FORGED pistons - much better if you add boost.

I am afraid to add anything to this car, it is strong as is. I remember last time at ATCO I saw a guy with a Roe supercharged Viper on Drag Radials struggling to run 11.7@126mph. He couldn't get traction in 1st or 2nd.

With that power he should have gone low 11s easily if he had traction. BTW that car was a CREAMPUFF and running fine under boost for 15K miles.

I have lots more videos from our track rental if you want me to post them. There is a video of my Stang running 11.6@123+ on a 1.66 60' (1st pass not warmed up) and a [email protected] (1.81 60') on DRs. It blew a head gasket after the second pass. If we would have combined the 1.66 60' to a warmed up car I know we would have run 10.9s@125+ on radials.

There are also vids of two of my buddies Cobras running 10s at well over 130mph.
