Mopar Madness is September 21-22 at the Virginia Motorsports Park near Richmond Virginia. This year, in recognition of the return of the Viper, Sunday will feature a Viper shootout. Vipers will compete on the Drag strip and autocross and combine their points from both events to crown an overall "Top Viper". Saturdays all Mopar show will have almost 60 classes. Also on Saturday is the Modern Street Hemi shootout with 9 second LX cars and SRT Jeeps. The entry fee, paid the day of the event, for all events both days is $70 for Viper owners, including one guest. This includes 2 car show, 2 days of test and tune on the track, Sunday auto cross, and Sunday Drag Racing. On Sunday a catered Outback Steak House lunch is available to Viper owners for $13. The host club is the Tidewater Mopar club (TMC). I am the club contact point for Viper owners. Sunday is the main event for Vipers but Saturday features Mopar drag racing and a massive car show with almost 60 classes of Mopars (including two Viper classes). The event flyer featuring the payout for Saturdays open Mopar racing and theclasses of the car show can be found here and here.
The host Hotel is the Holiday Inn, Colonial Heights VA, they have a block of 20 rooms set aside for Viper owners at a rate of $99. Call the front desk at 1-804-520-5880 and tell them you are a Viper owner and attending the Viper Shootout. For Hotel info click here.
The weekend will be featured in Mopar Action magazine and they will be on site all weekend taking photos for an upcoming issue. For Mopar Action info click here.

With purchase of Car Show entry fee, all Dodge Darts drivers will get:
- Special Dart parking
- Special awards
- (2) Special food wrist bands*

*Vipers will have 3 Autocross runs.The best time will be used to name the Viper Shootout Autocross winner. Vipers running in the Viper Bracket Racing Shootout will be able to run open Test& Tune with everyone else. Once you run your official time run you must dial-in a time to race in the Viper Shootout Eliminations until there is a winner. All Vipers will accrue points throughout the day (On Drag Strip:Fastest E.T., Fastest MPH, Finish Position in Drag Race - On Autocross: Points awarded based on elapsed time) the one with the most points is named the “TOP VIPER” Winner!
There will be a special Outback Steak lunch served in Suite 205 to all Viper owners who register for it. Track Special Price - $13.00 Must register for lunch by Sept 10[SUP]th[/SUP]
