At least the Challenger made it in there. Even the magnum was in there. Some day they will figure it out but who really cares. Viper never got much respect from the press except from "Motor Trend" (IMO).

Good. It was a list of V-8 powered cars. They did leave out the Charger, though included the Magnum SRT8 which was produced in far, far fewer numbers than either the Charger or the Challenger.

Yawn it was about V8 in which the V10 will be MORE likely to go bye bye. The reality is that I would trust Jay Leno over some web blog article. It doesn't take much more than 1 look at a viper and realize that is going to be a nice collectible down the road...if they can even find many gen 1 or 2's that haven't been trashed.

While I've never driven one, can you take this evenly remotely serious when they say that the
2009 Pontiac G8 GXP will be a collector?

I hear what you're sayin' but I also would have never thought a 1987 V6 Buick would be collectable, even considering how dismal that decade was. So 2009 Pontiac? What the heck do I know?

Another stupid list put out by a novice reporter who knows nothing about what they are writing about. I agree with the ZR1 because it was limited and unusual, but the rest... high production cars or mostly undesirable cars to collect. Who is going to collect a stupid Cadi??? Whoever wrote this is a complete idiot.

Here's one I just read for you investors. "Why is AIG up so high?" as rported in the NY Times. Well, it is selling for around $50 per share, while a year ago it sold for around $2.50 a share. During that time there was a 20 to 1 reverse stock split, so a shareholder who owned 1,000 shares at $2.50 now owns 50 shares at $50--total same value. AIG did not go up... the # of shares went down 20 to 1 and the market corrected the price. The press is IGNORANT and they continue to make this country more and more IGNORANT!!! I bought AIG at around $2.50 a year ago and I am at break-even right now. IT DID NOT GO UP!!! If it had gone up from $2.50 to $50 I would have a new Viper now. I just looked in my garage... no new Viper...

Collectible is what you make out of it. Who is somebody else to say what will be collectible? As if they are trying to manufacture that interest. All collectible items, either being stamps or cars, are collectible because of the interest of the small group of people that want them. Take Mustang's for example. A group of enthusiasts love them, and collect them. To me, they have no value whatsoever as I have no interest in them so subsequently, to me, they are not collectible.

The Vipers, to us, are already collectible because we love them. Who cares what someone else thinks they may or may not be in the future? We already know what they are to us!:drive:
