Want to add stripes to my 01. Need specs

I want to add factory stripes to my 01 Sapphire RT/10. I can't really afford to have them painted on and I'd really like to be able to return the car to it's original condition if necessary so I've decided to go with vinyl graphics. I need to know the specs on the factory stripes so that company can reproduce them accurately. Anybody know what i should tell them?

8 inches wide and 4 inches between the stripes...if I remember correctly there were some slight differences over the years for the width/spacing.

Yup, this^^^^ . Went by these specs for my 99 GTS and they looked great and very factory.

I did vinyl as well. Clay'd the paint, polished and waxed the area to be covered first. Used 19' of 21" wide vinyl. Cut into 3 strips of 7" by 7" squares in a checkered pattern, several hours and a few adult beverages later... All done! And a whole new look. I believe a few vendors sell stripe kits... Precut and ready to apply.

That is exactly where they got the idea from....pretty obvious from this angle.

The width between stripes on GenII's varies on certain model years between 4" and almost 4 7/8". Go 4 1/2" so Pete doesn't get cramped. Looks a little better that way IMO.

The factory stripes on my car are 8 inches wide and 4 3/8 inches between the stripes.My car is a 2002 gts

Thanks so much guys! One more question, the car has the factory spoiler...kinda looks like a whale tail. I assume the stripe goes under it across the deck lid, but how does it go on the spoiler? I can't imagine it would look good if it only went over the top, it has to wrap all the way around the spoiler, right?
