I have a 96 GTS, and my wheels have a slight haze to them, i was wondering if there is something i can buy over the counter to make them shine like new again, or atleast look a little better.
If the clearcoat is hazed you may have to have it stripped off and recoated. Try a good grade of glass cleaner and a soft cotton cloth. Anything stronger will damage the clearcoat worse.
On the other hand, the clearcoat may already be off your wheels. In that case a good aluminum wheel polish from your auto parts store should work fine.
It's the polish. 96 had a light polish (looks cloudy), 97 a bit better and 98 had a high polish finish. If you want your 96 rims shiner you will have to take some somewhere like Purner www.CCWheel.com and have them high polished.
