2000 GTS. I started the car today and took it for a ride. The sound I'm about to try and explain started about 5 minutes after I started it. The car was last driven 7 days ago. This noise was not there last week, and the car was not driven hard. When idleing or just driving it I can hear a noise which I think is coming from the super charger or from that area. The SC makes it's normal whine but on top of that I hear a sound that goes: rrrrrrr.......rrrrrrrr......rrrrrrr. Great sound effects right! This gets faster with rpm's. In other words it's not a constant whine like the sc has. I have no clue what this is. I have had the car for 3 months. The car runs great. How is the SC lubricated? Is it? Any help would be much appreciated.
Could it be the SC belt? These slip right?

Sounds like gears not meshing right? Not sure.

If it is something to do with your Paxton set up, I hate to say it, but don't expect paxton to come running to help out. They will deny everything because they have shhitty service.

email me if you are having problems with yours. I would also be curious to know what your a/f is. If you email me...do it privitely.

Thanks for the response. What's a hassle is that the SC is so loud that it is hard tell if it is indeed the SC itself. Alt? Could be but I doubt it. How would the gears just not mesh by the car just starting up. I'm no pro at this so sorry for the stupid questions. I can see if I ran the piss out of the car and then this sound came about. But just starting the car and it shows up has me baffled.
Paxton will not help at all so I'm kind of stuck on my own until I can bring it to someone. I live in nothern ca so it's a hassle for me.

Why am I not surprised that Paxton won't help out. We should all file a complaint with the BB.

Make sure your oil line is not kinked. You may want to check the oil line to the novi 2000 to make sure it's not clogged. Take it off and blow in the hose to see if it's clogged up.

email me with your phone number. We can chat.
