I have been a Viper owner for 1 year and been reading all the post for longer than that. All the time I read about this or that Viper beeing sold or for sale and it is prefect condition. What is perfect? Come on lets make a list or a guide that we can follow. This can not be that hard.

No used car is perfect. I hate when I see cars for sale like "1998 - 35,000 miles, mint condition".

Impossible.

Where in ohio are you? I have been looking for a guy that lives up the street and has a Silver GTS that is hammered with salt. I doubt his is "perfect" :) LOL.

The word "perfect" has become so overused in car sales nomenclature as to come to mean "good".
When an ad says perfect, I take the ad with me when I go look at the car and I begin to reduce its "perfection", and hopefully, the asking price.
I sometimes use the term "excellent", yet that, too, is interpretive.
Another uncertain phrase is "low mileage".

Always remember - Buyer beware! Now, as for perfect. Buy a new car, then get everything fixed, aligned, tight, smooth and shiney. Now add a ton of upgrades. A good example of a "perfect car" is, uh, well, MY CAR!!! I love my Viper. :2tu: :headbang:

Totally agree here, as a hand-built car like the Viper is not perfect when new. Are they beautiful, are they phenomenal to drive, are they faster than heck? Sure , but even those of us that love the beast no it isn't perfect. I have my doubts that there are few cars in the World that are, and the term is definitely overused. I frankly do not condone the use of the word and I almost always question what the individual/dealer ,etc., means.

Perfect will mean totally different things to the buyer than to the seller.
Most people will need to comprimise when they purchase their Vipers. Even if it is the perfect Viper for someone else, it may not be the perfect Viper for you. Even if the car is in fantastic shape, the wrong color, or body style may make it unperfect for you.
In addition the perfect mods for one person may be unacceptable to another.
The word perfect in an advertizement should be taken as the "opinion" of the very biased seller.

A car would have to be BRAND new and never driven to be even considered to be perfect. Like Bill says, I have never seen a perfect Viper.

Racer Rycks 1997 Blue/White Viper is pretty nice. I would call that "near perfect" ...but it only has 257 miles on it.
