What would a set of MXX3\'s be worth?

Just wanted some ideas on the value of a brand new set (still have the stickers on them) of Pilot MXX3's (17 inches - 335 back and 285 fronts). I bought these brand new from Zisser tire about a year ago, but am thinking I may try to sell them.

Also, any ideas on value on another set of MXX3s that are 90% in front and 70% rear tread?

I just got a set of MXX3s with 75% tread left, 325/18 front 335/17 rear for FREE from my good buddy PMUM (thanks pal).

Doesn't the age of these tires come into play at some time for overall stickiness, especially in a track situation? As I understand it, the MXX3's were all manufactured in 1996-97. So these tires are 5 or 6 years old now. I would assume 5-year old race tires to be useless -- too hard. It's a pretty sad commentary on the performance of Pilot Sports if a new set of Pilot Sports offers poorer traction than 5-year old MXX3's.

Or am I all wrong about this? Maybe street tires don't deteriorate with age?

PartsRack has new stickered MXX3s, and some very low-mile used ones.
