Why can\'t I have a exhaust that get\'s attention?

I was coming out of a restaurant tonight and in the parking lot I heard a car start up that demanded attention. It was a newer style mustang. It sounded so mean. Sorry, but the Viper sounds weak. My neighbor says he thinks it sounds like a VW. A WHAT !!! VW I almost puked. But it does not sound mean. What have people added or taken away to get that *********** exhaust look at me I have a V10 attention? The newer Mustangs have always sounded good to me at idle and at WOT. Not sure if they were stock V8 mustangs or they added something to. I used to have a Borla on my Vette and it did not grab attention either.

Wish I could hear some .wav files of other modded exhaust on SRT-10

Vipers have odd firing engines, Ford is V-8's are even fire. This is what causes the funny tone from the exhaust. Open up the exhaust, and this will improve some aspects of the sound. Volume and a good bit of the lower frequency from the engine will be heard. If you remove the X-over system and run the Bullet Mufflers, you will have a better sounding car, but it will still have that strange pulse to it. It's all so rewarding when you step on it. Be prepared for a much louder car. You will get used to it. Attention you will get when you step on it, take my word on that.

ps, I agree about the Mustang. If they have a modded engine with headers and the right exhaust system, they sound incredible.
