window slow to go up

My passenger side window is slow to go up and down, it seems to be binding on something, but I can't see anything that would cause this. The window also has a scratch on it that was caused by something rubbing inside the door, any suggestion what could be causing the scratch and where it could be binding, thanks cheers

sounds like a stanchion (sp?) problem.
