I realized I never made mine!

So hear goes...I have been infatuated with the Viper since it came out in '92. I was 10 at the time and knew that one day I would have one of my own. Well after a good 1.5 years of seriously looking to buy a Viper I finally turned my dream into a reality in November of '06. It took many hours and emails until I finally found the Viper for me. The solid red beauty below was a belated gift to myself for my 25th anniversiary of being born. That's a 15 year wait for those keeping track. ;)

After contemplating various ways to get my GTS from Corona, CA to my home in Tucson, AZ I settled on the best option. The seller offered to fly his Cessna out to Tucson and pick me up. I drove the car back via HWY 74 (Ortega Highway) and that was one of the better weekends I've had, simply surreal.

Enough talk, onto the pics.

Save for the rockers and lower portion of the fascia the car is perfect.

Haha, the deal was already complete. I think he just wanted to add to his list of airports that he's flown into. ;)

And don't worry, I'm enjoying every minute!

Cool purchase story. Sounds like you had a great first drive. Very clean 97 you have there. Congrats!!!

I notice you still have MXX3's up front. Be careful as they might be a little on the hard side.

That is a very sweet Viper. Has to be custom paint, no? I really like the color. Don't sweat the lower front fascia and rockers, that is pretty normal for these cars. Take care of it, it is very unique.

Congratulations on the purchase. It looks nice.

I've wondered if the Viper or my plane is faster.

With a tail wind, there's no competition. The plane will do over 200mph.

What a great experience. First the plane ride, then the trip home. Where can I buy the disposable ******? (I have kids)

Not sure on the disposable urinals, they were in the plane already.

The paint is factory, same shade as my friend's '97.

And I'll swap my chrome for your polished if they are straight with no rash.
