Anyone using a two post lift for storing their Viper during winter months? Thinking about adding a two post lift so that it would offer me the versatility of working on tires/brakes/suspension.
Wondering if anyone has experience with installing a Quick Time (RM-8071) transmission bell housing on a Gen I or Gen II? Are there any fitment issues, driveline changes required, etc?
Thank you

Does anyone know if the 1996 Vipers have the notorious Gen I head gasket issues? I know the 96 is a transition year, but not sure if the head gaskets were upgraded. Thanks!
My wife and I were in an accident last October after getting caught in a heavy downpour. We hit standing water on the expressway and spun out three times finally hitting cable barriers in the median. Fortunately, we were not injured (kudos to the engineers that designed the Gen I). The car...
Just removed and replaced dash on my 95. The blower motor is working, but the heater / AC selector switch that controls defroster, heat, vents, etc. is not having any effect on the direction of air flow. Any ideas?
My wife and I took a nice fall day cruise out to Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI near Kalamazoo yesterday. Amazing collection of historic automobiles displayed in several barns.....a must see if you are in the area!
Anyone know if the GenII fan has a higher amperage draw than the Gen I fan? If so, what is the amperage draw and/or fuse amperage used for the radiator fan? Thanks in advance!

Been searching the internet for a while looking for a drive shaft loop that would work on my Gen 1. Found one on EBAY that was made for NASCAR - $25. Made up a 1 3/4" pipe with end plates to complete the install. Next project is the half shaft loops. Better safe than sorry! :drive:
Planning to replace the clutch/throwout bearing with a LUK OEM, Fidanza flywheel, new slave cylinder. Does anyone feel that the transmission shaft pilot bearing needs to be replaced? It seems as if this would be a good time to do this since everything else is being swapted out. Car has 38k...
For those of you that have a difficult time removing the oil filter, I have found that this tool is the best and quickest solution to removing the filter.....works great! Available at most auto part stores, Harbor Freight, etc. for around $5.00 :2tu:
For those of you that have been considering a 4-post lift, Costco carries them. Online advertisement I received shows a Danmar 7000 lb. lift for $1899 delivered. Check out Costco.com for for specifications.
I have owned a 4-post lift for 6 years (different brand) and would not be without it...
WOW! What a difference from the Michelen Pilots. Even when the Pilots were new, they did not grab like these Kuhmo's. For half the price of the Michelin PS2's, it is hard to believe the performance of these tires. For safety reasons alone, these tires are worth considering! Maybe these...
I have a Gen I with original brake calipers. Resivoir and brake lines flushed and new synthetic fluid every 2 years, 35k miles, original brake lines replaced with stainless lines. How long has anyone gone on original calipers without rebuilding/new seals?:dunno:

Cruising with the wife down M-5 and I see a Cobra Mustang in my rear view mirror switching lanes to catch up to us. This guy came along side and reved his engine, we were moving along at 40 mph. I dropped into 2nd and he was history until we shut down around 85 mph. He caught up again and...
