Like I said, go with the 2008

In the end it looks like u have enough info to make u're own personal choice...
For me if u're gonna add the blower then u're gonna have to change out the runflats and improve u're suspension so i'm taking the 08
VVT means the new motor will be better everywhere thru the rpm range
Is 510hp on your 06 really not enough?
are we talkikng crank HP?? if so, then I would have to say NO!!!!!![]()

Dont let Nader hear you say this!Let's not forget about the awesome color selection in the 08s. I know we are talking power here, but the new colors are hot. As such I would take an 08 for the power upgrade, transmission upgrade, suspension upgrade, stronger rear-end, better traction, and the awesome hood...plus have you heard it, that VVT...wow
Side note...I have personally been burnt by aftermarket power adders. I am not saying that this paxton kit isn't awesome, I am just saying that when you take your vehicle outside of the "safe" parameters, it inevitably causes more work to keep it running. I have had added turbos (tuning problems) and paxtons (overheating problems). I personally won't do it again...unless somehow I become filthy rich (anyone want to help me here).
The 07 Mercedes CLK63 has 507 hp, the BMW M5 has 500 hp, my Bentley has 550 hp, the new Benz CL63 has over 500 hp I believe, the 911 GT2 has over 500 hp, the 911 Turbo has 480 hp....I could go on and on...the Gallardo Superleggeria, etc.Is 510hp on your 06 really not enough?
In all actuality the VVT was added for idle emission reasons only so a better cam profile could be used for power. At least this is what one engineer explained to me.
It is if you don't mind being embarrassed on the street.Always come with both barrels loaded! 900rwhp is a nice round figure!![]()
True, my stiffest competition to date came from an Audi S4, older model. I was up to 140 mph before I pulled away from him. I dont know what he had, but it was serious! However, it is good to greatly reduce the odds of someone giving you a run for the money by having 700-900 hp available!Never been embarrassed in a viper. I don't even have people challange me.
They know they better have their A game on before taking on a Viper.![]()
I'm a stock guy myself. I think of performance stock for stock. You can find Datsun running in the 10's at the track. It's a whole different game. IMO
