I´d like to order belanger headers. I have the secondary cats eliminated and a 2,5" corsa track exhaust. Will the belanger headers fit to the OE cat flanges or must I install a other pipe? What about the installation for these headers? is it hard to install or must I open the engine mounts?

I'm sure others will weigh in with some answers but I have found Lou Belanger to be extemely knowledgeable and willing to answer questions on his products. I don't have his number in front of me but it is listed in the product/vendor section of the website under Belanger Headers.

the OE parts will not connect with the Belangers parts, OE uses v-band flanges - belanger uses bolt-up flanges. With the Belangers or the M&M's you should not need to touch the engine mounts...I've never had to.

With the headers off it is good time to upgrade your engine mounts. When I do my headers I plan on Woodhouse mounts. Can't imagine it being much easier than with the headers off the car.

Here's a good link of some install photos.

Mounts are much easier to change with the headers off the car.

As for the flanges you can get them from summit racing, they are regular style 3" - 3 bolt header collector flanges.....but I think the headers should come with connector pipes with flanges already welded on. M&M's do, I believe the Belangers do as well.

I've not seen a 2.5" corsa system but I understand it is actually a 3" system with 2.5" reducers at the inlet. If that is the case, you will want to cut off the 2.5" portion of the exhaust and add in 3" piping...also available from summit racing.

The Belangers fit great, and are very "reasonable" to install. You don't have to "tip" the engine for install, but it makes it a LOT easier if you do......just from my own experience. A great VCA friend and I installed from start to finish in 3 hrs and 45 min. That's a pretty quick time, as Tim had a great deal of experience in install and gave me advice what should be done first with him working one side while I worked the other. It's a great project and makes the viper sound like they should sound.

I have a Belanger system, headers and exhaust on my 06 Coupe. Runs strong with a deep, awesome sound. Fit and finish is great. I also had the Lou's stuff on my 02 GTS. Our Viper Tech who does our installs said the Belanger system is a dream to work with.

I had the chance to visit Lou's shop in Phoenix. What a great operation. After a tour by Lou and seeing first hand how they are built, one can tell why they fit and work so well.

Lou is full of good information and will spend time with customers. His number is 602/486-2108.
