I've been talking to Steve at Autoform about picking up a top since he saw my post on here about snagging a used one, and he's decided that he'd like to offer us a group buy. If we can get 3 people to commit to buying a top, he'll knock them down to $2850.

The price includes:
• windows and window bags(Gen. I only)
• painted top
• top stand (which can be wall-mounted)

Additional fees include crating ($80) and shipping ($250)
From date order is placed it's approximately 4 weeks until the top is delivered.

If you're interested, reply to this post or PM me. If you're unfamiliar with this top, I can post pics later. I've been thinking about this for a while and have quite a few!

I am very interested! It sure would be nice to drive it more than 4 months out of the year.

I'd like to see some detailed pictures first - front, side, and rear angles. And some close ups of the windows. I'd also like details on exactly what has to be done to the car to install the top. I understand this one requires some holes drilled in the windshield pillar? Is there any wear on the paint where it rests on the back?

BTW, this would also be for an early '93 antenna car.

Wow, that is a great top...and an RT (Red) after my own heart.:headbang:

I'd love to join in, just the right offer at the wrong time.

By the way, that's a great looking RT, really like the body mods.

Thanks for trying.:2tu:

I'll post some more pictures soon. PM me with your e-mail and I'll be happy to take any angles of the top or the famous 4 holes to be drilled. BTW, they are NOT drilled to pillar...

Nice thing about this top is that VCA and many club events OK an RT/10 to drive without rollbar. hey, it has even fooled NHRA track officials believing its a GTS...:D

RedEnuf: What is involed with the add/remove of the top? Is it a 2-3min job or a longer one?

I bet I can remove it under a 2 minutes ALONE...
Give me a buddy and its off in less than 60 seconds.
Sportsbar stays where it is, top on or off.

1) Open doors, and hood.
2) Remove 1 screw from side window and pull off windows.
3) Open the front latches.
4) Open the rear latches.
5) Remove top.

Voila!:2tu:

Sweet. Thanks. The windows don't have to be on to have the top on, correct?

i want to get one. just don't have the extra funds right now.

That's OK, because like MOST Group Buys, (which have a poor success record on this site) you only save about $50-$100 off PartsRack's VCA single buy price anyway.

Ready when you are. And if Jason had come to us with a TWO top Order we would meet that price as well..........

So far it looks like CamanoViper and I are in (correct me if I'm wrong), with a few others pending.

If anyone else is interested, just post or PM me and I'll get back with info from Steve about how to expedite the deal.

Jon B...as always, thanks! If the volume isn't there for Steve, I'll most definitely hit you up! What would turnaround be from PartsRack? Would that price include the painted top, windows, window bags and stand? How much extra would crating and shipping run?

Thanks, and I'll keep you all posted!

As AutoForm's largest distributor, he will honor the same deal here with TWO tops
