What size Spark plug wrench and socket and extension

do I need to remove the plugs on an 02 rt10.Please and thanks guys,Kevin.

Need the length of the extension and size of wrench..Anything else I need?

Your 02 rt10 has no plugs!!!!!!! look for the flux capaitor it's next to the can of dial tone

But the socket and extension that fits is the correct one and please remember right tight left loose...:2tu:

Make sure that after removing the Plug Wires you Blow into the Spark Plug area as not to get any debris or dirt on the top of your piston.

A basic 3/8 drive ratchet, an 18 inch extension and a spark plug socket.Is this going to work?

OK, I can see you're actually serious, I seriously thought this was a "joke" thread :lmao:

You can reach every plug on a Gen2 very easily with a ratchet, 2 extentions, a swivel and spark plug socket. The only problem plug will be the furthest back on the passanger side. You'll have to take off the 3 screws that mount the air box, remove it, replace plug and air box.

After that drink a 12 pack and go to the Anything Goes section on the viper.....alley forum to claim your reward :2tu:

I know you need to take off the wiper cowl and heater/ac box..I just was not sure on the exact specs on the tools.

Not for those..I know its just a phillips..lol.. I'm not that bad.. I just meant I know they are easier to get at with them removed.

Explaining Viper things to you
To get the air box off is a 10mm and 5/16 hex socket or nut driver.

For the plugs, as has been stated you should do a few things, and I'll add another.

-> After the wires have been pulled from the plug, blow that area around the plug with an air nozzle to remove dirt and sand that can fall into the cylinder when the plug has been removed.

-> With a cold engine, spray a little Liquid Wrench down around each plug and allow to sit overnight before removing the plugs. My 6 year old 25K mile plugs almost fell out doing it that way.

-> Get a descent spark plug socket with the built in swivel.

The anti-seize subject is a wicked one. If you use any, make sure it is nickel or copper, and use VERY LITTLE. Adjust the torque down 25% too. I used no anti-seize, and full torque when I did mine. I will repeat the Liquid Wrench method next time I remove them.

On your new plug wires be sure to use dielectric grease on all of the boots. If your wires do not come with the grease, buy some at the auto parts store.

A long wobble extension helps on the passenger side front two plugs and a little on the drivers side. In general a 3/8" swivel head ratchet also helps. A short extension (3") is best on the rear drivers side plug. If it is the same as a 1997, you want to remove the outside air box,

Throw a very small amount of anti-seize on the threads when you put it back together. When you do that, back the torque down to about 15 ft-lbs. You only have to do that one time. A torque wrench is important on new plugs because you are crushing the gasket and you don't have a feel for the torque - aluminum is easy to strip with too much torque. Make sure you always had tighten the plugs as far as you can by hand, this will help you avoid stripping the threads.
