2009 RSI convertible white with black top, already has tint on doors and rear window. I don't drive a lot a night but really think the by having the windshield tinted (slightly) it would make the car look really sharp. Anyone seen a Viper with tinted windshield or have thoughts? thanks

Do you smoke a lot of ***?

Are you a gangster?

Are you hiding from the cops?

Is the DEA looking for you?

Do you have a severe case of acne?

Are there several pregnant women in the area, and you might be the father?

Are you trying to make it so that your girlfriend won't see your wife in the car?

Are you a vampire, and cannot be exposed to very much sunlight?

Do you jam the radio loud and play 'air drums' and don't want people to see that?

...........or do you just think the car might look better like that?

Seems like a bad idea, for so many reasons. Hey it's your car, so I suppose you could always take it off if you didn't like it.

How many of these do I have to answer yes to to get a prize?

I wouldn't, you probably look cool enough already ;). If you were ever in an accident ( no bad karma ) and an attorney or LE got wind of it, could be a bad scenario.

Only thing to put on windshield which I I have on all my cars and work trucks is Air Blue 80. It is an almost clear ceramic film to keep heat out of the car and it also reduces glare like polarized sunglasses do. I run Pinnacle ceramic film in legal shades (30 front windows, 15 all others with air blue 80 windshield) you can't see in much but although it is lighter you have almost zero heat in the cabin. My buddy has gangster limo tint on all windows and windshield and it is a greenhouse in his car. No heat rejection. Stupid to hinder any one of your senses while driving a car at speed.

Don't tint the windows

Unless you are a rapper, or a child molester, or a serial ******, or a drug dealer, or a gun smuggler, or a mob boss, or a spy, or a ****, ........................................or anything else like that.

Driving a convertible with the top down, with a tinted windshield,............now that would look DORK.

......if you end up doing that, at least don't wear a gold chain at the same time.

I worked with the 3M film that was similar to the Air Blue. It was very cool! I think the darkest they went with that was 40, otherwise there was 50 and 60 IIRC. pretty clear but blocked a lot of heat!

The only cars that I've seen with tinted windshields were show cars (or at least used primarily for that purpose). I'd think it would generate a lot of interest from the cops, not that a Viper doesn't already do that. That would make it not worth it to me.

My buddy with a z06 has 70 ceramic window tint all around including his windshield. No one can tell that the car is tinted and it blocks a lot of heat. If you go to a tint shop ask them to show you samples of ceramic tint. They should have a few shades of ceramic on a 4"x4" piece of glass. Then have them use a heat lamp with and without the pieces of sample film in front. You'll be able to tell how much heat is blocked just by 70 percent ceramic tint.

Thanks for the info. I never really thought about this but it makes so much sense.
My DD thanks you as well. :)
