Hi Folks,

Found a decent set of Forgestar F14's 18x11 front and 19x13 rear for sale. Any recommendations on tire sizes to nicely fill out the wheel well (minimal wheel gap) on a stock ride height 99 RT?

Thanks!

It will look a more beefy tire. I've got 20" rear with 345/30/20 tires, on a Gen4. Should have been 345/25/20. But I like the look.
Front is 295/30/19, slightly bigger in diameter than OEM.

Gotcha thank you!

I like the "more meatier side profile look in the rear" look you suggested.

What do yall think of
(a) 345/30-19 (19x13)rears and 295/30-18 (18x11) fronts?
(b) 355/30-19 (19x13)rears and 295/30-18 (18x11) fronts?

Apologize in advance, I am quite new to tire and wheel sizing.

There will not be much size difference between a and b.
To make it more complicated, same tire sizes (on the sidewall) from different brands can be different in real world numbers.

I’m running Kumho V720 355/30-19 on the rear on my 96 GTS. They’re so wide and tall that my driver side rear tire just barely bumps the inner quarter panel lip on big bumps. Not bad, but enough to leave a light wing was mark on the sidewall.

I thought about Gen V on my Gen 2 GTS, but was concerned about raising CG of car - that's never a good idea regarding handling and turn in response? ....but should be better for drag racing?

However, a little more ground clearance would always be welcome with the glass fascia which poses ground clearance concerns every waking moment.

Just be aware that the rear tires will be one inch taller than stock, for every inch in tire height you go it effectively reduces your rear axle ratio by .33 ,,being a 99 it has 3:08 from the factory which is way too tall to begin with,,first change the gears too 3:73 then put your taller tires on and you will have effectively 3:40 and get an acceleration boost and your taller tires.

gotcha, looks like i'll be looking at option
(a) 345/30-19 (19x13)rears and 295/30-18 (18x11) fronts. Will also look at changing out the gear rations to 3:73
I'll post pictures once I get em fitted up.
