No. Its the exact same caliper except the piston is 40mm vice the 36mm stock piston. Parking brake is the exact same in the caliper. Mounts up exactly the same. I think you are confusing yourself with a Gen3/4 brake upgrade on a gen 2. The rear knuckle ears had to be chopped off to accommodate...- FlashFyre

No. Its the exact same rear caliper. Only real difference is that it is painted black vice the normal greyish colour.- FlashFyre

'99 GTS starts and stalls/dies
Sounds like your IAC is having issues. It likely needs to relearn itself. Low battery can play havoc with the IAC. Make sure your battery is fully charged. Start the viper and try to get it to idle itself. The RPMS generally will be all over the place. You may see it hunting/surging in RPMS...- FlashFyre

Epic Suckage! another 998 gusset recall done wrong :-(
I have the same problem and have done 4 oil changes since buying the car. I generally try and empty all the oil out of the oil filter and then crush it a bit to get it out. Usually the passenger front wheel well is the spot where I can pop it out. I am currently in the process of trying to...- FlashFyre

I bolted a 2 X 4 to the stud. The 2 X 4 fit snuggly inside the rim. Then I bolted another smaller 2 X 4 to the first one, and through to the stud. I used the 2nd 2 X 4 to give the rim lag bolts more material to bite. Seems solid against the wall.- FlashFyre
