    Aftermarket Proportioning Valve Install Question

    I thought the stock valve puts full pressure on the FRONT brakes and only adds rears after certain pressure. I seem to recall tons of dust only on the front wheels. I removed my valve O ring and now I have diminished braking power because my rears are working harder.

    Check the wiring through the door grommets first. I pulled my hair out trying to diagnose door/window electrical issues and it turned out to be the wiring harness. I've since soldered 10 wires.

    Does it include a controller? The mechanicals are pretty straight forward. The tuning is the hard part.

    Jeff Morys used to make performance heads too. He doesn't do it anymore but they were the best set of heads you can find for Vipers.

    Hmmm sounds like something I may be interested in. If you create more pressure on the brake pad doesn't wear it down faster? Although it may be a good thing since the brake bias is so front heavy it may even it out.

    I thought you needed to grind off that tab from the mounting bracket to accommodate the parking brake?

    The conversion requires grinding off the rear tabs from the mounting brackets right? I think that's the only hesitancy I had doing this.

    well my car has an AEM controller but the ECM is stock. I'm just going to wait until next year to register it.

    So you basically did what VW and FCA did to pass testing.:rolaugh: Change the software during the test then change it back. Only difference is you didn't get penalized billions of $$$.

    I'm pretty sure it's everything. My car doesn't have an issue with a safety test but no way will it pass emissions.
