That might just be the best looking Viper I have seen yet. In fact, it looks so good, it's almost a shame to track it... almost.
A big congrats on both the car and your taste! :2tu:
I found this on the SSR website: SSR Type-C RS - 19inch Specs Seems to indicate the that 19x10.5 SSR type C wheels are available, but I'm not sure of the correct off-set. Are we sure there is no 19" SSR for thre Viper?
I just found out that Michelin is no longer making Sport Cups in 345 x 18" size. When my current set wears out, I would like to go back to 19" wheels but really like my SSRs. Do they make a 19" SSR wheel that would work on the rear of a Gen 3?
Blip the throttle as you apply brakes and just before you let the clutch out. If you are shedding a lot of speed and down shifting thru multiple gears, repeat the procedure for each downshift to avoid locking up the rear tires or upsetting the suspension. Don't worry about getting an exact rev...
The peddles on the viper are very close together which can make heel and toe shifting a bit tricky. I have found the best method is to use the side of my foot instead of the ball and heel. I sort of rock my foot side to side so i can work the throttle and brake simultaneously. Takes a bit of...
I ran my stock '04 at this event a couple years ago. Factory roll hoops were acceptable on a vert then. I hope they are not changing that ruling as it will eliminate a lot of cars.
Yeah, i used to think the same thing. Then one day, while playing on a back country road with a guy on a motorcycle, my Viper got sideways when I shifted into 3rd, and I was running "R compound" tires. Didn't seem like I did anything wrong. I had driven the car the same way in the past many...
Add to the above recomendation light weight wheels and tires (such as Sport Cups mounted on SSRs which will drop unsprung weight by over 70 lbs) and and it will feel like you picked up yet another 50 rwhp.
I bought my '04 Viper on ebay from a highly reputable dealer. Won the auction at a price that was well below what I expected would win, contacted the dealer, was assured the car was in showroom condition. Took delivery 4 days later and the car was perfect. Smooth transaction with no regrets.

I have been running the 345s rear and 295s front for some time now. The good news is that combined with lightweight wheels, there is a very noticeable improvement in overall performance. car is much quicker, turn-in is much crisper and breaking is awesome. The bad news is that they can be...
The Viper is more of an "acquired taste" than most cars when it comes to driving it. I wasn't crazy about it myself when I first got mine, but then it grew on me. This is why Vipers often get criticized by the car rags. They don't spend enough time behind the wheel to appreciate the car's unique...
