I absolutely love what Nico did for his sound system. So much that I immediately called Audio Lines to get some prices. I finally got the prices last Friday and here is what they are charging for the parts. I am really only interested in the piece for the center consul but the price seems a bit steep in price to me. Is this normal pricing for this type of work?

The following is the email that Audio Lines sent to me.

In regards to the installation in Nico's Viper, here are some more details you might be interested in.

1. The sub-enclosure for the 2, 8" subs was completely made of fiber-glass; the internal volume is 0.7 cubic feet. We have a mold already made of the enclosure if you want one, the price is $1750.00. It requires some modification of the panel behind the seats; however a custom trim (the gloss black piece with the engraved Viper logo) covers the modification.

2. The carbon panel behind the seats is $2000.00. The carbon was laid over top of the original panel.

3. The carbon pieces along the top of the door panels and on the rocker panels are $300.00 each.

As far as the rest of the installation goes, it is fairly straight forward. We are currently doing another Viper right now, if you have any questions or need me to e-mail you any photos to help with your installation, please call (604-421-1060) or email ([email protected]). Thanks.

I honestly feel they can do it for a lot less now that they have the mold already done. I'll go down and talk to them and see what type of price they can give. Install is wild though!

Oh yea and don't forget those are most likely CANADIAN dollars!!!

I see that this post has been dead for quite some time. AllBlack, is the shop who made this for you, still selling the center piece with the Focals? If so, do you have a phone number or a link to their shop. Do we have a price in American dollars (considering your in Canada) for that set up? Thanks!

I got my headunit installed from the same place and didn't like their service because they didtn' follow my instructions when I told them I need a constant power supply to my icruze. They also wanted to charge me $500 to install my rb1 head unit (direct install)

AllBlack's car has is getting its carbon fiber redone right now because it started peeling....

Just thought I'd point out a few things before I see any people from viperclub dealing with these guys :) :2tu: In my opinion they are pricing their stuff way too high because of what type of car it is. For a honda civic the price would be 1/4th what they want! I think I might have a quote I coudln't stop laughing when I saw it. They sponsored AllBlack's car so they gave him a good price! They either thought I have money pouring out of my ass or I'm a ******* with the prices they were quoting me!

I can easily see that it is polyester. Plus the price is a dead give away that polyester was used. I have never seen polyester on carbon fiber last more than a few seasons. It will come apart faster if there is any heat cycling. Polyester does not bond to carbon fiber, it just kind of surrounds it nicely. The door already looks a little cloudy to me, or could be just the angle. But cloudiness means trapped solvents that need to outgas sooner or later. Otherwise it's pretty good work.
