I have a set of 19in purner 505As that got weathered here in Virginia last winter, they either need to be chromed or repolished. I am looking to go to a set of factory SRT wheels for ease of upkeep, wonder what you guys think a fair value would be. the tires have about 6k on them with normal driving, not babying but not burn-outs either. i can have to wheels plated first if anyone is interesed in buying them ready to bolt on. interested in values both with and with out rubber, and as is vs. plated condition. thanks in advance for the help

will post pics tomm, for the time being, they are pretty dulled up by road salt, for getting caught out once, but i have taken a bit to see if they will repolish and they will, but i do not have the patients to do it, that is why i would recomend chrome, i have also talked to john purner and he told me that they can repolish them there

I wouldn't give up on the wheel finish quite yet. I have the exact same problem with my 505A rims. I tried a wheel polish and it helped the shine some, but it didn't get rid of the spots in the finish. Chip Huff at CCW emailed the following:

"I have a product called Aluminum Wash that will most likely eliminate the spots and an excellent polish and wheel wax sealant as well.
I use these products on my 505a'a and it works great."

I am ordering some today and I will post the results.

well the wheels are like 3000$ new right?

Chroming or polishing those wide suckers would be what 1-2 grand at a local shop? I had a set of camaro wheels quoted for $1500 to chrome them 2 years ago though.

The wheels are $3200 new w/o tires...$4500 w/ tires
I am looking to get $2500 for these with the tires, which are about 75% front, and 50% rear. These are great for someone wanting 505's chromed as you can have them chromed for about $800 and that is including shipping from VA, to CA. that makes only $3300 for CHROME 505a's with decent tires vs $4200 new with NO tires (saving $900 plus the rubber). ALSO i have an extra set of front tires that i will include for a total of $2800 ...only $150ea.
