Hi all:

Here are the pictures of the Hurst 50th Anniversary Viper. The pics aren't great, but you should get the idea...

I snapped them at the Barrett-Jackson opening night gala on Monday night. The pictures have been uploaded to the gallery as well. :2tu:

There's no "chicks" in any of the pictures so this thread is sure to die a quick death. ;)

Not good in my opinion. Why would you buy this Viper when there are so many nice color combos available?:crazy2: It's probably more expensive, too.

All it needs is some 13" gold wire wheels, a shag dash cover and hydraulics.

I don't like how they ended the stripes on the facia. I would prefer the traditional stripes.

When I first saw the color I wasn't sure what to think, but the more I looked at it, the more I kind of liked it. It grows on you...

I'm glad they did it in a matte finish because a glossy gold paint would have looked terrible.

I'd like to see the car in natural light as the lighting in the building was not the best.

Agreed on the bad stripig - looks like the painter took one look at the fascia and said the heck with it - we'll stop here :)

Sorry to follow my post with another, but...
SweetRide - at BJ can the bidders go through the cars? I see they are roped off. At Mecum acutions, you can practically bring your tool kit to see what you are really looking at. If I was a bidder at BJ, I'd definitely want to get up close and personal with the iron before laying out the green!

A group of us VCA members are attending BJ this weekend.

Will be interesting to see, but this color combo would not be my preference either.

Anything that is roped off in the main tent is pretty much off limits because they are the premier cars that bring top $$$. You generally need to be a bidder to gain access to those vehicles. However, the cars down in the big yard are very accesible and could be looked at thoroughly. That's why I go to the show every year. You can get up close and personal with most cars.

TV doesnt do most of these cars any justice and they need to be seen in person.

Where's the love? I'm honestly kind of surprised by the negative reaction to this car. :flush:

When I win the next VCA raffle, I will be sure not to order this color for fear of being kicked out of the club.

I like the color, hate the stripes. I'd rather see traditional Viper stripes. Black with gold stripes would look excellent.

I realize as a new Viper owner, I'm still thinking every Viper not completely pimped out is gorgeous. I would have preferred fang stripes, and even given the builder, the pistol grip just seems out of place in a Viper. Challenger, or old-school any Mopar, pistol grips rock.
