Gen 3 alarm keeps going off

Gen 3
My alarm keeps just going off by itself. No real time interval, could be an hr could be a day.
This happen to any of you?

Happened to me, I think it was caused by locking the car with the trunk still open and then closing??? Never happened again???

Some of the hood switches were prone to going bad or they contact very close to the full stroke. Any wind or expansion/contraction under temps can change the hood height just enough to set it off. I would check to see if the sensor plunger is loose in the mount or if you can shim it up just a little, may solve your issue. Mine does this still randomly at times when the car is outside at an event in the sun or wind weird.

Thx. Hood makes sense bc I had just got back from a run and left my hood up for cool down. I will reshut it and try again

Mine did the same thing. Its a 2009 though. It turned out to be a short in the horn pad. They had to replace the horn/airbag assembly. Mine had a mind of its own also. It would just go off when it felt like it. The dealer pulled the horn fuse until the parts came in.Maybe trying the horn would give you a clue?.
