As launch control will be on the new 2013 Viper, I'm curious to hear opinions of this feature, from those of you who have experienced launch control on other vehicles.

Thank You!

Having driven cars with and without it, my *opinion* is that it helps from a consistency perspective and in many cases compensates for things you didn't even know to adjust for like a slick part or crack in the pavement. Keep in mind that the Formula 1 cars have used it for years and even many of the race series allow it and I believe it was World Challenge that allowed you to implement one with a dial to allow some slip but not too much, think it was made by Race Logic.

The nice part about it on the 2013 Viper is if you don't want it, then don't turn it on, but if you want a consistantly fast launch, then use it!

Well dialed in and controlled by a good computer that knows what's going on at all times? Sign me up. Overly intrusive or just too slow to keep up with the world around it? It'd be worth more to me in a garbage can.

Computers can do everything faster and better, but they have to be programmed to do everything, so it's always going to be up to the programmers. Hopefully Dodge got it right on the Gen V...time will tell soon enough.
