404 error: Jon B grumpiness not found

Good grief! I ordered a set of Kumhos from Jon B late Thursday afternoon. I came home today (Monday evening), and they're already sitting on my front steps. Can't ask for better service or faster shipping than that! Thanks, Jon.

404 error: Jon B grumpiness not found

I called Jon B at Partsrack yesterday to inquire into ordering a new set of rear Kumho V700's for my GTS. He shot me a great price on the pair, already had my information on file in his system, and processed my order in about 20 seconds. Even said he'd try to get them out the door same day...

    roe blower guys

I went with a custom PBJ air box. It isolates the filters from sucking in hot, underhood air, and it relocates the IAT sensor right behind the NACA duct so that it's always getting fresh ambient air. It's a great design and seems to flow plenty of air for my Roe. It also came with hard pipes...

Excuses for the Viper's lack of horsepower wanted by Corvette Club of Virginia

Am I missing something? In order to get 1200 HP out of his Corvette, he has to spray 750 HP worth of nitrous? So off the bottle his bowtie powerhouse makes a whopping 450 hp? Wow. Color me unimpressed. Make sure to get video of his 1200 HP nitrous car blowing the heads through the hood and...

would guys add blower or upgrade to 08?

I don't know where all this nonsense about engine problems is coming from. That's not my understanding at all. The only "problem" they're having is with suppliers. The whole drive train is new and the supplier providing parts for the new drive train is having a hard time keeping up with...

    Joe Donovan?

And I'm sure the guys from MN will chime in here, but Joe tuned 5 Vipers in 2 days and 3 of the 5 ended up making OVER 700 rwhp. If you want to make the power, sometimes you have to wait for the guy that makes the magic happens. As frustrating as it might be at times, I bet you almost 100%...

    Joe Donovan?

If you are Deron, then yes, your car is almost done. If that's you, you can PM me for details on what's left to do.

    Joe Donovan?

Actually, after he leaves you guys, he's going to Cincinnati on Sunday to tune a truck. He should be back in STL by Monday or Tuesday. He's just a super busy guy.

Kenny's Viper Delivered! Dyno Video Included

I'd be extremely interested in seeing the dyno graph of any Roe blower setup making anything north of 800 rwhp without nitrous, let alone 1000 rwhp. Even with a 510 stroker motor, heads, cam, throttle bodies, and 14 lbs of boost, I'd be surprised to see an 800 rwhp figure, especially...

    Viper trailer pics?

While it may be true that most CORVETTE owners live in a trailer, most Viper owners do not. Therefore, it is unlikely you will receive many replies. :D

Power levels supported by GEN II's?

Anytime. I'm hoping to make enough power with the new heads, throttle bodies, and a touch more boost to put the car in the 9's before the end of the season.

Power levels supported by GEN II's?

Yes, I have the water/methanol kit as well. However, without using the water/meth, the car still dyno'd 612/672 on straight 92 octane pump gas. That tells me that there is probably more power to be had in my water/meth tune. The car went 10.43 @ 137 on drag radials on the 630 rwhp tune. It...

Power levels supported by GEN II's?

I was more concerned with the strength of the motor than ABS, so I went with my 98 GTS. With headers, rockers, exhaust, intake and 10 psi on my Roe blower, the car made 630/675 on pump gas. Never had any problems whatsoever with the car. It drives the same as it did when it was stock, only...

Roe blower seized; time for Turbos???

Good deal. Keep us posted. I'll bet you are back up and running for under $1500. I wonder if PSE could port the blower for you while they have it. :)

Roe blower seized; time for Turbos???

Bump. Because of this thread, I decided I should probably double check my blower oil levels. I couldn't remember the last time I had done it, so I figured I should do it last night just to be on the safe side. I have about 5,000 miles on the blower, I believe. I found that my blower oil...

Pics of my VCA Coupe ....

Uhhhhhhh, wow. I was hoping I could put together something more eloquent, but I think "wow" pretty much sums it up. Gorgeous car. The VCA coupe is one of my very favorites, and with the power and suspension to match, that car is pretty much perfect. Very nicely done!

    Joe Donovan?

So let me get this straight, John. You've had your car together for over 3 months, but have continued to lay like a snake in the weeds to strike at any thread involving PBJ even though there are no more issues? You've intentionally hidden the fact that your car has been running all summer just...

    Joe Donovan?

I forgot to add the disclaimer that if you buy some used POS supercharger, don't have half the parts, can't get support from the vendor that manufactured said one-off POS, try to install it yourself, do a half-assed job, take it to a local "tuner" who f'ed it all up and forgot to even put...

    Joe Donovan?

Joe is not out of town just yet, although he has been in and out of town tuning cars the last month or so, as well as finishing up some very, very cool projects. I'd love to let the cat out of the bag on all of them, but they range from single turbo Vipers to new custom fuel systems, to custom...

    Labor cost for removing/reinstalling Heads

I think Daniel is pretty much spot on. I was told almost the exact same thing: About 8 hours to get them off, and 8 hours to reinstall them. Not sure what shop time is in Dallas, but I'm sure it's at least $80-100/hour. So figure somewhere around $1,500-1,700 for all of the work (including...

Roe blower seized; time for Turbos???

If money is no object, then obviously twin turbos are a great choice. However, at the risk of sounding like a cheapskate, I'd just ante up the $1000 or so and fix the blower, reinstall it myself, and keep the other $29,000 in the bank.

Should an 05' SRT be getting 10 mpg?

I don't think his post has anything to do with the money. I think the gentleman is simply trying to figure out if there is anything wrong with his car. I've had cars that went from getting 20 mpg to 10 mpg over the course of a year. That was a good indication that I had an issue with the car...

Roe blower seized; time for Turbos???

I wouldn't throw away the blower just because it has an issue. I believe Kenny (Sun Ra Kat) had issues with his blower caused by overspinning it (12 lb. upper pulley + Weaver crank pulley) and sent it off for a complete remanufacture (including new bearings) for $850. I don't think I'd use an...

    roe sc drivability

I've had my Roe blower on the car for almost 2 years. I had the car about 90 days before I installed it. There is absolutely no change in drivability with the blower. The car starts, idles and putts around in traffic just like it did when it was bone stock. You will definitely notice a...

The ASC Diamondback heads to its new home...

Rather than simply sell the car and run off with the money, or hide the car away in a vault somewhere, the Wollesons have told us that they believe the Viper club members have a right to see such a work of art and have not only volunteered to trailer it to certain events to make sure everyone...
