Brutus-
Welcome from another fellow Buckeye. I live in the downtown area. Congrats on the new car. Cant wait to see it. Hope to see you in March at the Lube.

-If you are looking for any mechanics in the area....we know of a great guy who has been a certified viper tech for years and...
Just did gaskets on my '94 as well. Do a seach on side sills and you will see my post from last week. I just spent a couple weeks learning about the whole corrosion thing and finding out who to send them to. PM me when you have a moment and I will walk you through everything. I've already...
Thanks for the input Dan. I think I'm going to have the seats done in ALL leather and spray/dye the rest. He's going to scuff them down first and spray them with an adhesive that will help bond the dye a lot better. Chad promised to help with spraying the dash so I'm pretty confident that...
I was told by numerous people that the seats are only leather in the middle portion. The outside bolsters are vinyl. Makes sense to me...if you look at them you can tell that the outside is hard and shiny. Just to clarify....the "redye job" is only on the plastic trim pieces.
PS-Hey...
Guys I'm trying to put as little in this project as possible. Let us not forget that I already have waaaaaaaay too much in this car. Just sent the side sills out to be redone as well. The factory came with vinyl around the outside and leather in the middle. I'm just replacing it with exactly...
Just got back from the trim shop and this is what I was quoted:
2 seats-vinyl around outside and leather in middle *black* (just like factory)
dye interior trim black and doors
recarpet bottom of doors
$1000.00
Is that fair?? Seems high to me... What do you think. Should I do it?
Man do I wish I knew that early this morning!!! Hope I can glue on a new knob...might not have enough of the rod left....oh well. Maybe now I'll save someone else from making the same mistake!! If I keep my interior I'm thinking of doing a suade and leather combo like the GEN 3. What do you...
I agree. The Belanger kit has Dynomax mufflers and high flow cats....removing them entirely is a bit extreme as far as sound. Especially as mentioned above on deceleration. I strongly recommend spending the extra $$ and buying headers first. If you are looking to gain power there really is...
Have a mint condition gray dash/seats out of my 94. Before I go and spend a ton of money having them professionally done I wanted to see if anyone had some stuff out there that would help cut down the cost. Looking for black. Please let me know......by the way...how the hell do you get that...
Hello all. Wanted to know if any of you have had any luck repairing side sills. I have both sides on my '94 bubbling and peeling. I was told this was a reaction with the aluminum and moisture and that it was actually the aluminum breaking down. There are no holes on either side...just paint...
This cover is the factory cover that comes in the grey bag...it's not nylon. It seems to be made of perforated cotton. Where can I get a heavy duty outdoor one?
Yah, maybe I should. I didn't think it would be a problem...and it's not really outdoors exactly...but I guess it is enough that it will be a problem. Anybody have any suggestions or want to trade covers??????
Hey guys....been out of town for a while and discovered something I didn't like today. I have the original car cover that came with my '94 on the car. I have the car stored in a car port that is open on the opposite end. Due to the drastic change in weather here in Columbus during the past...
Congrats Brother!! Wish I could have made it. Remember, you may be a little stronger...but you aren't sh** until you can blow fire out each side sill!!!
hey...just saw your post. the burgh is my home town....also cannonsburg. anyway, the dyno in mcdonald belongs to mike ancus...who deals primarily with imports (hondas), but does have a large viper following and has very decent prices to rent dyno....great guy. you can find him at north park...
Well I finally got the car back today. Had a 1/4" aluminum shim made for driver's side motor mount and exhaust seems to be fine. Problem is that second shop took over the job after I encountered the rubbing problem due to a change in my original mechanics schedule...so when it was all said and...
we're attempting to fabricate a shim for the driver's side motor mount...which makes me nervous. I was told that you will be able to visually see the engine crooked in the compartment. The most frustrating part is the amount of money I now have in this whole project....it's getting rediculous...
my mechanic claims he attempted to adjust but had no success....mine is touching right on the frame in the same location of your picture (touching on bottom of round cut out in frame). the whole thing has been extremely frustrating.....hopefully today we can work something out.
Trying this post again....didn't seem to work first time. Here's the deal..installed Belanger side pipe kit and headers from Belanger. Passanger side looks great. Drivers side not so good...collector is touching frame and has about 1/16" clearance....touching when running. Passanger side has...
I would highly advise getting in touch with Bruce Venable. He's out of Cinncinati, OH and has several Vipermania tops in stock for all years. If you're interested PM me and I will give you his phone number. He's also got a few Mopar used tops as well. Great guy and a huge fan.
