The new C & D magazine just arrived and shows many cars "worth waiting for." The photo of the new Gen V Snake is not good! Hopefully this is NOT the Gen V we will see! Let's bring on the Volado!
Hi all!
I am hoping someone in the know can verify different Mopar Part Numbers that will work on Gen IVs. I will start:
1. I received and used Mopar SRT (white color) #05038041 from one Dodge Dealer.
2. Another Dodge Dealer has supplied Mopar (black color) #MO-090, #05281090.
The...
I believe you mean "ZR1s" as the C6 Z06 has tall 5th and 6th gears as well. The ZR1 has a close ratio tranny.
This issue is easily addressed with a <$2k 5th and 6th gear swap (or purchase of a 2010 Gen IV Viper that has the closer 5th gear).
Practically speaking, you will rarely see the...
Exactly! It must SUBSTANTIALLY exceed the performace envelope of the Gen IV at the same price point or I will just wait for something that does! 20-40hp is just not enough given the performance of other cars and the costs inherent in switching cars. I know Dodge CAN do it, it just remains to...
Steve:
I would gladly pay for services rendered, but unfortunately I am in Southern California and I do not want ot pay for a scan tool, etc.!
Thanks for your efforts!
Thanks Steve--I read those threads before posting.
What I will do is get the Dealer to guarantee that for $150, without dismounting my tires, the TPMs will be fully functioning. If not, I get my $$$ back. I do not want my wheels damaged over this issue.
I will post if and when the matter...
About 6 mos. ago I added new wheels with NEW OEM TPMs for the new wheels. I kept the OEM sensors from my OEM wheels with those factory wheels. I do not think
My wheel installer could not sync the new sensors on the new wheels at the time of install (they tried but could not get it)...
I seem to recall that at least 2 of Charlie's cars actually jumped off the cliff by themselves! No need to toss your viper! Charlie is at least somewhat entertaining!:dunno:
Any recommendations on which supporting vendors have the best deals on extended warranties and which warranties to consider?
The 3-year factory warranty on my '08 is up in April and I am well under in terms of mileage.
Thanks for your thoughts!
FGT is a great-looking, iconic car. No question.
I would NEVER buy a salvage title car unless it was easily fixable about 60% < FMV.
With a FGT, it will easily overheat at the track (my buddy is a semi-pro racer and owns 2 FGTs). He says his Porsche GT3 is much more bullet-proof for...
Not a Halle Barry fan, so I hope the actual Gen V pics and design are something more than that!
The new car must have improvements in performance, ergonomics and style, with pricing comparable to Gen IV.
Arrow intake on my '08 with no problems. (DC was not available when I purchased the Arrow).
No CELs and no problems. The car seems to pull stronger in the upper rpms. It was a good mod!
"BFP for Value w/out notice" = bonafide purchaser for value without notice of any title problems. This legal theory offers some protection in California, but the warranty of title in the purchase contract is the first line of defense (and the source for reimbursement of legal fees). Of course...
Well, I have a business, corporate and real estate law firm in Southern California and I agree with you as noted in my post above! Unfortunately this situation is a bit of a mess and some effort (professional or otherwise) will be required to set matters straight. The OP's purchase contract...
Ask your attorneys to check into the concept of a "Bona Fide Good Faith Purchaser for value without knowledge" of any previous sale/title issues. The facts state you knew nothing about a title problem. You reasonably relied on Mercedes to give you good title. You paid a reasonable...
Good luck on $50k for a 2003 Viper--even with -0- miles. '08s are going in the $5xk range and there are many differences in the cars.
Then again, PT Barnum said that "there is a ______ born every minute!"
The show illustrates the fact that these are BOTH awesome cars and the results will often be dictated by the driver! (Btw, I owned 3 vettes before the current Viper, including a '06 Z06).
Interesting to note that gearing issues aside, I believe both of these cars were faster in the standing...
Most people just get a map when they are lost!
The gearing on the ZRI (shorter 5th gear) was the difference in the mile. You will likely never use 160 mph+ anywhere in a race amd most places on a track. And of course, the 2010 Viper changes 5th gear. The gear swap is also avalable for...
