    Simple Green here too, no issues. I use distilled water for the final rinse.

    Cooler thermostat

    A cooler t-stat in and of itself does little to nothing. Been there done that. I can attest to a cooler t-stat + SCT tune to turn on the fan sooner (lower temp) does work well. Adding additional airflow through the engine bay in addition to the stat and tune helps too.

    Title states "on the engine"...hmm...do you mean that oil is leaking into the valley area under the intake? If so, it's probably your CCV orifice leaking atop the block. Where exactly is the oil leaking?

    Lou doesn't care one way or the other about pickle removal. He'll fabricate the headers without the pickle upon request. Heck, I had him fabricate me a custom set of headers with a mini-pickle.

    I'm able to drive my GenII in the winter in freezing/cold temps. I drove it in flurries. It's fine but must be respected. In snow, its completely useless. I'm using PS2's. I don't recommend it but its doable. If I can do it with my GenII without nannies then I think the GenV will be fine for you.
