Smog Test Only Stations CA
Well, as a follow up, I drove around and found a very clean establishment with two young "techs" standing around with nothing to do. Smog Test Only Stations CA
When you get a "Smog Test Only Station" notation on your CA registration, do you trust any one of them, or do you try to find one that handles high performance cars? Since they dyno the car, I am leery of some smog hack handling my snake. :nono: Recommendations?- Solid Red 98

I'm seriously getting sick of Vipers being looked down on. Sick of it.
I live in the green happy San Francisco Bay Area and have been pleasantly surprised by how well the car has been received--even in Ferrari-land, Marin County. Yeah, I was wondering if I could just cut, bend and re-weld a small area near where my right foot rests against the foot-well. Driver's position / Room in the footwell
Has anyone been able to decrease the left offset in the driver side footwell? I could use some room to the right; one inch would do. I know on the 08's the position is more neutral. How was this accomplished? How close is the engine/tranny in that area? Solutions?- Solid Red 98

Go to Valaya Racing in Santa Jose for service and 'stuff'. They beat on race Vipers regularly so they don't need to get their jollies hammering on our "tame" street cars. Those guys are great. When I leave my car there I don't worry a lick. :2tu:- Solid Red 98

"Sticky" gearbox?
Sounds familiar, my GTS is a bit balky going into 3rd under a hard press--particularly when hot. I had the motor mounts inspected, the clutch fluid changed, and race mix gear oil put in. Best Operating Schedule Gen 2
I have a 98 GTS with 20k on the clock. I tend to drive it about once a week year round. Is that frequent enough to keep it limber and lubed with a minimum of deterioration?
