I have a Gen 2, but you should check the inlet to your Heater Control Valve. I had the "smell" and it turned out to be a slow leak around the factory hose fitting. The photo shows the screw-on clamp that I fixed it with. I cut off about 1/2 inch from the hose and shoved it back on.
The...
Kai:
I've seen the parts on cars in his shop. The only negative besides the cost is where you mount the oil reservoir.
If you use the car quite a bit for non racing activities, trunk space may be a concern (probably not much worse than Nitrous bottles though). I don't think they can package it...
I had thought I was "immune" with my trap door oil pan at the time yet I toasted my engine (cylinder #3) on the long, high speed sweeper at Willow Springs (turn 8). This is not an isolated incident as quite a few Vipers have blown up on turn 8 in the same fashion.
I had heads/cam and sticky...
Western Region Viper Racers:
John Horton - West Coast Vipers, has shared his plans for two very affordable Willow Springs Raceway Track Weekends for next year. He would like to query our interest so he can book the dates for these events soon.
The dates are January 21/22 and November 25/26...
Mine opens up all the way after "unlock"....after replacing my worn out struts. On colder California days (brrrr), my old struts would not hold the hatch open at all.
They cost about $53 and take just a few minutes for install. It's been about a year and my hatch still moves up under its own...
Click on this link for something similar like I have on my GTS.

These have been out there for at least 5 or 6 years. Yours seems pricey.
.144 seconds off target takes a little more than luck. Congratulations.
I've done the NORC 4 times and my best is only within 1.05 seconds.
Come on out next May. We hope to field a much larger Team Viper, and have a lot of fun.

I snapped this pic of my car at the Jordan Wine Estate in the Sonoma California Wine Country.
The particular photo angle produced an interesting shadow.
Actually, Dan and Cathy Everts (Viper X) joined us for a one thousand mile cruise from SoCal with their nearly identical car...
I see by the picture they're out at Willow Springs now in the hands of owners. A few have hit the streets now in SoCal so there should be plenty of data and impressions shared very soon.
Re: Does Anyone Have The Purner/CCW 505A\'s in the 18 Inch Size??
Purner now has 18" forged billets. I spoke with him. It's new. Check his web site - he's showing 18s available now
A 5000# tow rating is cutting it pretty close. To get the snake and your stuff down to 5000 pounds or less you will require an all aluminum trailer.
Featherlites are pricey but lightweight and look good after years of service. Click on their web site for details at http://www.fthr.com/...
I did this mod to seek better performance for One Mile Runs and other high speed stuff. I don't think I would see much improvement on a Dyno, but higher velocity air (at speed) directly into the K&Ns should help.
I already had the rear air box mod with bigger smooth tubes into larger...
Who cares if Vegas has been used before. It's cool. The last three VOIs have been Midwest to East. It's time to place it closer to the West. You will not match the facilities and track capabilities - Las Vegas is the place.

5) Other mods - Camshaft swap - a 10!
Nothing comes close to the lumpy sound at a stop light of a Heads/Cam car, and I did 1 and 2 before changing out the cam.
However, a full exhaust package (including headers) helps generate the right racket. You'll like it.
