    Good news, bad news........

The good news is that we are walking and talking and typing. I was coming out of tight turn, just getting a bit hard into the throttle when I saw a deer, passenger side shoulder, I swerved, but could not get out of the throttle soon enough, we spun, hit the berm(thank you Cal Trans.!) spun...

Oil consumption question for Roe sc cars

OK, thanks all. Sean, I never saw the install. manual, must have not made it back from Valaya. Anyway, I appreciate the written explanation as now I understand several issues going on with the car. I found #4 very very helpful and since I live in the coastal mountains with lots of steep twisty...

    CCW - Pruner website?

Joe, its not by choice I don't believe, but rather the tooling costs. He had access to a 19" setup but to repeat in 18" would involve start up costs of like $50k. I would have gone for 18" too if they had been available, but in retrospect, the 19" really fit the car, do not degrade handling in...

Oil consumption question for Roe sc cars

Since adding the Roe kit to my car I have been really going through the oil. It seems to be blow by. I live in Cal. and have been running 91 octane except for track days so have been running the 9degree card. Sean thought valve cover breathers might reduce some of the pressure, but I have not...

    CCW - Pruner website?

Thanks Ray, gotta get the driven in while the weather will permit. Last nice fall days for top off weather. Just got back from a rockin 130 mile canyon run. The rivers are comin up, colors are great and we only got rained on a few times, with mostly dry roads. Damn, I love these cars. STill...

Trade In Value of a 99 ACR with 27,000 miles

I agree with Bill, from my experience, you almost always come out ahead by selling seperate from buying. There is the hassle factor of course so it really depends on whether you have more time or money! Good luck on the transaction either way. John

    CCW - Pruner website?

I agree too and the workmanship and value are right on target. John does a very nice job on all his wheels and these are a great example. Heres a shot I took yesterday, a bit of fall cheer.

    25 HOURS of THUNDERHILL

Oh, I see, different weekends. I was talking about the Nov 22,23 event.

    25 HOURS of THUNDERHILL

Are they going to let the radicals run for sure? I thought they(track officials) were still deciding. Visibility issue, I was told.

Adam, how far up the hood does the 3m go?

    MGW First Strike Shifter Knob

Bill, I don't think 120z is heavy enough to cause any problems, nor have heard of any from other friends who have (and love) Dougs shiftknobs. Its just enough weight to smooth out the shifter notchiness.

    Finally part of the club!

Brian, very nice and welcome to viperworld. Withdrawal is a [******] and up here on the north coast I am going to have to get used to it or drive in the rain for much of the next 6 months!! We do get some awesome stretches of weather in the winter between storms but the roads will remain wet in...

    Anybody need a Valentine 1 ?

OK, I see it. So you have to have the whole unit cupped to the windscreen all the time? Is there any other way to install one of these units? thanks John

    MGW First Strike Shifter Knob

I installed mine by just carefully pulling boot down and it worked fine. I am not that crazy about the knob though and find that the lower shifting point is a great improvement, the feel of the knob leaves much to be desired imo. I have contacted Doug Whalen who makes really nice heavy custom ss...

    Anybody need a Valentine 1 ?

Yves, I don't see any power source to your windshield unit, how does it get power? I have been thinking about getting a V1 but know nothing about installation or setup.

    Nose Bra

For those with the 3m protection, does it come just to the line below the headlights? If not what area gets covered? Anyone with a pic on black car? thanks, John

Where was your Avatar picture taken?

Thunderhill Park, turn 3, same place as I first "felt" the motivation to get a Viper on a previous track day ride along. The snake rocked my world!

    Race on Speed Chanel yesterday

Good race, bad Viper crash though, hard wall shot. Hope driver is ok, seemed to be. I wondered why the Vipers were not more competitive though. Was the Laguna Seca race just PMum's superior driving skill? In the Road Atlanta race seemed that only 1 Viper was even close and he was not really...
