Will give you a call after Viper Days with the contacts(instructors) in your area. You will need to organize(track, insurance, support) the event. I will get the lead instructor closest to you.
This school is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to enjoy their Viper's performance in a...
Still time to attend.
This is a great school to learn how to master your Vipers potential. Should also result is car control knowledge and skills to provide safer driving on the street.
Still spots open just let me know by e-mail when you register.
You guy are right on target if you master car control before the racing school you get to focus on racing (line, braking points, turn-in, and exit) without so much effort and focus on car control.
Our intro to Track Driving is structured to hone car control then go to the track to learn the...
Skip Barber no longer offers a Skip Barber Discount.
Skip Barber has replaced Dodge with Mazda.
At present no driving school has a Viper as a performance teaching vehicle.
There are several school that use Mustangs, Corvettes, Porsche, BMW and Panoz. Skip Barber has a special Performance...
The first time on a track can be intimidating, so this is a great way to experience it.
The Driving Line, Braking Points, Turn In Point, Apex, and Exit Point can be a lot to absorb the first few times you go on a track.
We have put together a School that starts with Car Control theory and...
MPG seems pretty poor for the RAM 1500. My SRT10 RAM Quad Cab gets 9MPH pulling a trailer with a Viper. Can do 12 MPG if I follow the speed limit. thats in a 5400 pound RAM with 4:56 gears. I would expect a HEMI to get the same or better MPG than the Tacoma?
March 16-18 at Buttonwillow is a close to a zone rendezvous as you can get with a lot more track time. :2tu: Both the BAMF and Viper Days are very social with tons of track time. :D What more could you ask for? A goddie bag? There will be lots of goodies for sale. :headbang:
Interesting!
One observation, in general US car companies build what the they think we want not what we actually want. Perfect example the SRT Experience has been running for about two years. They ask what you like best etc.
At the SRT Exp. I attended most drivers like 95% said the SRT8...
Our ( Nor.Calif. VCA Viper Specific) Skip Barber school had Vipers on the autocross 1/3 of the morning and all afternoon(enlarged autocross approx 60-70 sec) for a ton of seat time. Most drivers were very tired after this program. The std program had Vipers in the afternoon on a small 25-30...
Do you plan to use the brakes? If yes dump the 96 cast :nono: wheels. These wheels have failed at track events. But if the upgrade is for the street and/or Bling then it is ok to go with the smaller upgrade kits.
Message from Maurice Liang,
One additional comment. The Max. number for this program is 18 drivers. As many of you know our region has organized driving schools with Skip Barber for many years. Due to the disconnect between Dodge and Skip Barber this is the only school planned this year.
FYI...
I use 18 8' florsecent bulbs(nine two bulb fixtures).
Look at the last several pictures from this link -http://norcal.viperclub.org/gallery/04262005LiftEvent/index.html
Over the work bench I also have high intensity lights.
Skip Barber was the way to go until the end of November!
The Viper was replaced with the RX8. :bonker: Pretty weak choice, but that is what happens when business types a run performance business. :buttkick: They try to talk the talk but can not walk the walk.
Looks like one of the corvette...
I cut down the top post to clear the frame. Put the battery in the car and the system was dead, The top post is like a cup over a inner post, The inner post connects to the gell cells. The top cup is the link to the side post. So when U cut the post the connection was lost between the inner...
Get a factory battery and use a battery tender to keep the battery charged when the car is not run for a couple weeks.
The Optima may or may not fit depending on the battery tray Z dimension to frame which varies from car to car.
Pretty complex question - Tire temperature is critical to max grip. In cold weather grip drops as the tire compound gets harder. On the street as the temperature drops so will grip so adjust the gas and brake application to the temperature. Road surface is another critical element to consider...
The weather looks great for Viper Days this weekend. :headbang:
Anyone wanting to carvan (towing a trailer) Friday afternoon let me know. I plan to leave from Hwy 880/101 around 3:30pm.
