I've been reading pastposts on repainting dashes.. I plan to do this but was wondering what the best method of stripping the factory flocking from the dash is? Some one had mentioned sandblasting? The stuff is nasty to pull off so far!
Ben, head up north here.. no limits on our track. next race is april 4th for test& tune followed by street drags that evening. I'll even let you stay in my doublewide :)
Eureka's not that far from you.
Glad to hear Nick is home! It's always wonderfull to see the generosity and compassion that the board members have in action. I wish Nick a future of good health and comfortable sitting ;)
I think it is shitty that current vendors keep the prices inflated in this manner. Lame ethics.. very lame. It really pisses me off that this is a clear case of aftermarket prices being regulated by the vendors.
Thank the Kwik-E-Test centers that help you memorize the questions and pass in a week (figuratively speaking) with no real working knowledge to destroy the credibility of your certificate.
I'm with the emergency soft top Idea.. Though I think Jeff's design kicks ass (other than the price & window mods) if you are going with a hardtop. Jeff.. A question, your site says that the top mounts to the stock factory bolts in the rear.. Does this mean you have to remove the sport cap...
I beleive the Optima uses a electrolytic paste with a spiral plate design.. anyways it lets you mount the battery in any angle and is highly resistant to vibration/shock/jarring damage
I've been running the Optima's in my offroader for a couple of years with no problems.. Perhaps Brad just ended up with a dud? I know the batteries get put through a hell of a lot of abuse and have been trouble free
Re: Nicks Gift from all of us!
Prayers tonight for Nick. I'm so sorry to hear that he has been hospitalized again. What an emotional rollercoaster this must be for his family. :( My best wishes. I hope for a speedy recovery.
Thanks Fred,
The event sounds like a lot of fun, and great experience. Thursdays don't work unfortunately :( (would mean driving down the night before) and the savings between a thursday and weekend event would probably be the equivalent of a lifetime membership to the VCA. ;)
Very cool! A couple questions:
1. How fast have you had the car up to with the top on? and how long have you tested it?
2. Has the Fiberglass design been tested yet?
3. Warranty offered on them?
4. How long does it take to dissassemble/ reassemble and place in trunk/ roof?
It looks to me like.. the stock mopar hardtop.. ;)
Ya ya i know, i know you don't have to remove the sportcap.. but hey that only adds another 5 minutes to the job
Anyways.. Looks very nice on your car!
Re: I\'ve spent over $5000 in the past 8 days! Viper aftermarket is addictin
I think spending for additional items is a mandatory part of Viper ownership... :)
