Kenny, buy a used computer off of eBay for a few hundred bucks. My friend bought one for $150 and he uses it just for tuning his car. Granted it is not the fastest computer but it does not have to be for logging and tuning. It is very difficult to own a fuel management system that allows...
Frank thanks for posting. What symptoms did you notice prior to notching the bracket? I would guess it would just make it idle a bit higher.
Just add it to the list of things I will copy from your viper. :p
That is exactly what I did. I logged into the Innovate and adjusted the output. I just wanted to make sure the settings I posted were correct.
On another note, do you notice that your boost starts ~2psi below its max and works its way to the max boost from a 3k-5k pull? I don't know why...
I am programming my 2nd Innovate wideband in the passenger bank and I have a question. I am duplicating my setting from the one I installed last year but now I am wondering if I put the correct parameters in. Does this look right?
0.00 Volts = 10.00 AF
5.00 Volts = 17.99 AF
I believe I...
JD, the ROE has its place. It is an inexpensive 600rwhp blower. Honestly to go from 610rwhp to 710rwhp on a ROE you will spend more than the price of the blower itself. That shows it is running out of efficiency. I personally have to complaints with mine and Sean's customer service is second...
Kenny, I have been very interested in your saga from the start as I run a ROE myself. I appreciate you posting both your good and bad experiences as it helps the community to hear it. I have to admit that from your first posts I thought you were given very optimist HP goals which would be hard...
No matter what size you are the interior of the Viper is small. I am 6'2" 180 and I drive with the seat all the way back and my legs are still bent, but whatever. It is not a large car inside no matter how you figure it; it is not a luxary car.
I am not sure what the video showed because there was no in car camera. I guess there aren’t any fast cars in that town because they consider 1 car length “spankage”. For the record, that B/W looked great. :headbang: As for the black talon that was repainted silver… :nono:
BTW, did Mr...
mntngts99, I have the W/M and noticed a big SOTP torque jump due to adjusting my time from -6 to 0. I am hoping for the same thing with the 10psi pulley. When you put on your 10psi pulley did you go to the smaller idler pulley?
Schulmann, Do you know what boost you were hitting when you...
Brad, now you are scaring me into thinking I should just stick with the 8psi pulley. What is the max temperature you think the 10psi pulley works well at?
Just to help people respond, can you give a list of your other mods on the car, headers, RR, etc. Also what does your VEC2 show as your actual boost? Hitting over 600rwhp with only 6.5 actual lbs is very healthy.
I currently have the 8psi pulley on my car and see 7psi climbing to 9psi at...
I never said our cars are tanking in value and you should get out while you can. What I did say was they are dropping every year. The average price for a clean Gen2 is less this year than it was 2 years ago. I know for a fact, it will be even less 2 years from now. Now if you want to project...
Every year that passes will bring a lower price for our cars. They are not rare, so as they age they will go down in price. I do not think the 2008 will effect Gen2 pricing. I think age and mileage effects them more.
I would say 40-45 is a good guess. It is hard to compare Viper's to Porsche's because normally Viper mileage is ultra low. I would guess 90% of all Viper's for sale have less than 20k miles on them. I would say 50% have less than 10k miles. While 45k miles might not seam like a lot, it is...
Re: Pic of my dyno sheet. I\'m happy
I think your numbers are right on the money. I would say the max you are down is 10rwhp. Remember that most people quote there best dyno number and different dynoes give different results. As an examle, I was at a dyno day where almost all the Gen 2's...
Don't bother with the burner. If you have a loptop you can directly connect to the VEC2 with the serial cable. I upload the programs right from the laptop to the VEC2. I am not sure why you would spend the time burning a card versus uploading directly. The upload takes less than 2 seconds.
Without Question 97 B/W
One I really like but does not seam to bring a premium is the White with Blue stripes. Considering it is the only white Gen 1-2 (save GT2) I would think it would hold its value better.
Just like any used car you have to see it in person. I would guess for 42k the condition is baked into the price. These cars are depreciating so it is just a matter of time before all 2000's will be low 40’s.
Way to go Nadine! :2tu: 1st in class and 3rd overall shows some serious driving. :nana:
What gauges are you watching to tune? Isn't it easier to log a bunch of sensors via the VEC2 versus watching them by eye?
Thanks for the pics.
