I've got this setup too. Unfortunately, I bought the car that way, so I wouldn't know about the welding. Therefore, I'll just piggyback on Jon's comments and validate that I like the setup. Good choice.
Bing, I'm signing up myself and Ahmar Stephenwoof (aka Woof) with his '06 coupe. So, when you receive the extra dough you'll know why. I hope there's enough room still.
I need rear chrome emblems that go on the bumber. Only the rear. R&J sells the whole kit, and no offense to them, but I don't feel like paying $165 for two stickers.
Here's their kit which appears very nice.

Anyone know where I...
How do you guys do that? I have the full version of Photoshop and it's so friggen difficult to figure out. I see picture after picture that look totally awesome. I know I can do this! I think it's absurd to make a piece of software that is so difficult to figure out. Lessons please!
Okay...
I'll take one too although I already bought the entire assembly.
Don't feel bad John. It's much worse on my Toyota Tacoma. I had my intermittent windshield wiper relay go bad. I had to replace the entire console switch assembly $200.
Ditto here. I do this with all my vehicles not just the Viper. The only exception is my bike (carbureted) which takes a minimum of 5 minutes to warm with choke nearly on full before you can even give it gas. Ahhhh the old days.
Definitely! A few of us down here in Fredericksburg were just discussing this last Saturday. We were thinking of Buds Creek but it's so damn crowded. Oh and PM sent.
I've done FATT at Summit Point several times. I plan to do it again this year PM me and perhaps we can go together. It's reasonably priced, has good instruction, and the track is pretty good. Downside is FATT stand for Friday at the Track, so it's on Friday. It starts at 8AM, so from NC...
That settles it Joe's Inn! Private Parking! WooHooo!!
Howard, I believe I got 4 (including myself) from Fredericksburg so far.
BTW, I will be arranging a caravan down to the event for all of the northerners. We will meet at the Park N Ride off Rt 17 exit 133B heading south on I 95...
I could do that John. But I'm saving for the portable toilet seat that mounts to a hitch!
On a different note, while I got your attention, I'm going to organize a caravan down to Richmond for Howard's go kart racing. If any of you northerners are coming down have them meet me at the Park N...
Strips look a little different than mine, but it could be the camera or light. Also, I don't have an ACR but I believe the strips are supposed to be the same color. Get the VIN. It will tell you if the stripes are original.
My hood release handle broke off. The cable is still good. All I need is a handle. I treid Jon and Chuck but being Sunday everyone's closed. Any ideas where to get one and price? Thanks!
Matt
There is a relay box that looks like a computer under the dash on the drivers side. This is where the wires run to from the door solenoid and switches. If your wires are fine in the hinge area check that out. But I would agree with Randy.
Re: Driver interior door switch won\'t open door
Matt,
Same thing here. I would lay money it is your harness in the hinge area. I took mine to a Viper tech. I did not want to tackle mine as it happened shortly after I bought the car. He "repaired" instead of replaced the harness and only...
Ha! I was just there Howard! I went to the gun show across the street at the fairgrounds. I saw that place and immediately thought of you and our discussions on cart races. March is going to be a busy month for me at work but perhaps I will be able to make it.
Excellent job dude! I might be right behind you. I'm having a lot of work done on my hood and should get it back by this weekend. It should be 100% perfect after and perhaps I'll have to look into this as well considering how well your process has gone. Bravo!
Holy cow! As nice as the car looks now it has been painted at least twice AND been in an accident. I would stay away regardless. Don't like cars that have been around the block.
Same here. I used EBC my first track day and my brakes faded twice on me. I switched to the Brakeman 3's and Motul 600. They have done fine since. I do get a lot of skweaking but I think I "glossed" the pads and that's why they skweak. I also have way more dust than I did with the EBC...
Re: What would you pay for a 90k mile \'99 ACR?
I'd pay $32K after I checked the car out. I have a silver/blue NON-ACR. I have a lot less miles but an ACR is much more collectible than mine will be even with lesser miles.
I'm in the same boat as JUCD. I'm about to spend $1K on touching up my hood. But if I can sell mine and even get within $1K of the cost of a Diamondback Hood I'd do it. Even with original hoods selling for $7500 you'd think we could get $4K for our used ones. Geez.
Re: Richmond, VA \"Polar Bear Run\" - Jan 27, 2007
Howard, I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Despite the nice weather I can't get any others up here to go too. With 93 cars registered I'm sure we won't be missed. I'll try again next year.
