    How many Viper collectors are out there?

    Not sure if I'm a collector or a gatherer..... bought everthing Viper in triplicate unil I ran out of room! Then I made the hard decision to stick with only Matchbox's, HotWheels.... and VOI centerpieces ;) Gradually selling off many of my earlier 1/18th scale purchases to make room.

    Part of the reason for the kit was to lower the seats. The Gen III seats are much more confortable and fit me better than either the Gen I or Gen II seats, that is reason I went for them. In the pics of the install in my car, they look fine to me, but you are right, they definitely do look...

    It is supposed to be a catalog kit (at least Northwind has it listed in their catalog :) ). But it seems there are a we have a few minor bugs to work out. Ed went to bolt the seats in, and their appears to be a problem in the "apparatus" for the cable that pulls the 'tang' release to allow...

    Many of you know of Northwind Engineerings seat lowering kits. Well, he does other seat magic as well. Here's a picture of a kit he made to adapt Gen III seats to fit into a (my) Gen I.

    Certainly something to consider (although the forum quantity police may complain )..... Some regional sites do have forums, but it takes a pretty big mass of users to make them work... most regional sites with them have very few posts.

    Great! It took five tries before we get the program to load properly, even at that it did not properly transfer many templates and settings, we are still tweaking the settings.

    Yes, gone for now. We are discussing if it makes sence to spend the time getting it up and running on the interum forum, or dedicate all effort to the final forums upgrade and integration, which will include a completely new chat.

    We purchased the required software upgrade... but the install routine "bombed". We are waiting for feedback/solution from the supplier. They released a new version just a few days ago, so we are hoping it is just a "new verion" bug.

    The final forums have a fantastic spell checker.... users will need to download it, but it's free and intrates seemlessly... at least for me. Some day maybe a grammar checker too :) Please keep the suggestions/comments coming...

    Will neeed to add back the hack which showed the "Images in my gallery" under the user name. No changes were made to the gallery software, looks like the operating system upgrade generated an error causing the images not to load, will get the programmer on that one. Sorry we missed it. FYI...

    How are Viper stripes applied?

    I wondered about this, and talked to both the Viper Grailkeeper (Herb Helbig) and the Viper Body engineer today. Both said all Viper stripes have always been painted. I specifically asked about the '96 RT/10 "sabre striped" cars, and he said the same thing... adding "we have never used Vinyl"...

    Re: Hood is cleared!: Just has the first coat of clear on right now. I'm pretty sure Ed does not start scraping until everythign is painted.
