    Bra for 94 RT-10

I've got a stock issue DC bra for my 94. I never put it on because people say it will flap and cause dull spots on the paint.

To follow up: what is the LEAST favorite mod you have done to your car?

"I don't think the extra hp on the street is worth it." Pleased to meet you cgmaster. Your logical reasoning in this case is refreshing. Too bad, the others will stone you to death.

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? The experience related by IEATVETS is what I would expect. I don't think your Viper, sitting in a garage, would need a battery tender for over the winter storage. I believe that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a battery tender connected for over the...

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Ok, I'll buy your one month limit. I said two months but one month sounds reasonable. The gen1 maintenance manual says twenty days. I don't know what they base that on and I know from my experience that twenty days is very conservative. Here's what I...

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Mr Fly, #1 I don't care if you act in an illogical un scientific manner. #2 I don't see any reason to allow your superstitions to pass as good advice on a forum for the exchange of knowledge. #3 Your ridicule of someone who actually knows something...

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Thank you Shelby. Having others agree that I am right always makes me feel warm inside. By the way, looking closely at your avitar, I can see the wires running across the lawn feeding power the three battery tenders you hooked up while you were taking that...

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? " Vipers draw more power than usual from their battery when they sit." I don't believe this is true. There are specs for how many milliamps a Viper will draw from the battery when it is turned off and sitting unused. I can't remember what the drain is...

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? 10 degrees and a car that gets started every couple of weeks is one thing. Connecting it every time you turn the car off, on a car that gets used all the time is another.

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? No, I have a couple of battery chargers in case I need one for my boats or cars or lawnmower. What has me owning one of these got to do with anything?

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? If your battery went dead after sitting for three weeks, you have an electrical problem. Vipers don't need battery tenders any more than a 1956 Buick needed one.

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Ok, you said "yes" to everything. If you know all that, please tell me how connecting the little tender for an hour or two or three or even a day, is going to change anything. "The charge in the battery begins to diminish as soon as the car is...

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Do you have an alternator? Is the alternator charging the battery while you are out on the track? Do you know that the alternator charges your battery at a rate that is about 300 times what your tender can? What do you think is going to happen to the...

Question about jump box under the hood?

Those things are going to draw about 10 to 12 amps from your battery. That shouldn't be a problem. And you shouldn't need to connect directly to the battery with big wires. Why did you get a 1500 watt inverter?

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? Also, the warning about not having it hooked up while the cover is on; That warning is a little far fetched for a low current charger but what they are warning you about is hydrogen gas from the battery getting caught under the car cover. They are not...

anyone leave their battery tender on when car is covered?

Re: What\'s the best battery tender? "Yes, it should be used on any battery that isn't used every day" No, that's not true. You can leave it hooked up all the time but there is no reason to use a battery tender in a car that get's driven a few hours every month. If you are going to store your...

Question about jump box under the hood?

It depends on what you are planning on running with the inverter. The change from 12V to 110V is going to cause a change of about 10x the amps drawn from the battery. This is a ball park example but it's close enough for planning; Say you have a small device that would draw 300 watts when you...
