New OBDII Code Reader For All 1996 And Newer Cars... $54.95, In Stock

Along the same line... I got a Davis Car Chip, IMO very cool. Plug it into your OBD port and forget about it. The instant the PCM generates a code it records it along with the engine vitals. You can download the data later to your PC, once you've downloaded it you can reset the code. It also...

RT/10 owners: who has the DC multi-disc in trunk cd player?

Has anyone by-passed this problem and installed an MP3 player in their Viper? I have an Alpine MP3 unit in my wife's Miata and think it's the way to go. I also noticed that Rockford-Fosgate will soon be offering a 20GB MP3 unit that can be wirelessly downloaded from a PC...very cool!

Just 2 more inches how can that change anything?

I am thinking of doing this mod but it appears that in dropping the seat the thigh bolsters won't clear the seat cavity and they need to be scrunched in a bit. Is this true?

Ram Air - Fact or Fiction? Need a science guy here!

On the whole I agree with what is said in this. The confusion is what you call ram air. The systems out there that work are providing cool outside air at a pressure equal to or higher than the manifold pressure. That helps performance but how much it helps depends on the overall efficiency of...

Someone needs to write a book

If the VCA members are willing to contribute then it could start out as simple as a PDF document that we could download for free to print out or order printed copies from VCA. I think it would be a good idea to get a few experienced tuners or techs to be on an editorial board to oversee the...

Someone needs to write a book

I would pay good money for a book for Viper owners that want to be DIY'rs or at least learn what's needed to keep your machine running. It could be a simple as a compilation of all of the great posts on this site. Performance data, what the part nos. are for regular replacement items, stuff like...

    Daily Driver Viper Owners?

I've had my Viper for 3 months (and 3500 miles) and use it as a daily driver (except when it rains, then I use the Camaro). Sometimes the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is knowning I can drive The V to work. I do avoid going to places where parking may be a problem but most of...

    What don't you like?

Re: What don\'t you like? My complaints are: 1) the turning radius is too big (it's my daily driver and it's a bit of work manuevering in tight spaces)and, 2) I have become obsessed with Vipers. When I'm not driving it or working on it I am spending a lot of time reading the manual and cruising...

    tapping into the Viper's computer

tapping into the Viper\'s computer Here's a question for the real pros.... Is there any way to tap into the computer's data stream (rpm, o2 sensor voltage, manifold pressure, H2O temp, battery voltage, etc.) so that I can record that info. on a laptop while driving? I am doing this with my...

    hydrogen fuel cells coming soon

This is a little off topic but the Mechanical Engineering Department at San Diego State University is going to be building a hybrid-powered Viper. It will use a 200 HP V-4 along with a 300 HP electric motor and will be able to put out 500 HP and 500 ft-lb for bursts of up to 70 miles and get an...

First Pictures of my babies together !!

AJT, I get the same response with my Camaro (it was my daily driver for 32 years until I got the V, now it's my bad weather car). I constantly get thumbs up on the road and people stopping me to tell me about the Camaro they had when younger. They're a great way to save up to buy a Viper! BruceW

    Vipers and Dating.... !!! :)

To be young again and have those kinds of problems....seriously, I wouldn't hide it, we're all smart enough to see what people are really like (if we want to). Some of the guys replying haven't been meeting the right class of women. I must confess that it was my wife's encouragement that...
