From what I’ve read on other forums it will indeed work on any car. But that’s not to say that it will work as well as on a car built for the HUD, due to it needing a special windshield to work properly. The HUD windshield has a special sheet of optical material inserted in between two layers...
I saw a news article about the rapid rise in car break ins out your way a while back. The law in California requires the prosecutor to prove that the car that was broken in to was locked in order to get a conviction. The legislature won’t close the loophole in the law because they are actually...
It’s a very striking looking car, very nice, congratulations!
The parts are not genuine MOPAR for your specific MY (2009), personally I would toss them. The car is built / engineered for such incredible performance it just seems wrong and potentially dangerous to use non factory designed and...
You can easily find him and his current contact info on https://www.fastpeoplesearch.com/
I would post it here for you but I feel that would be inappropriate. Good luck.
Thank you! I don’t know where any of that is or what it looks like so I went to my dealer to get a printout of the schematic, but they couldn’t find the two parts you mentioned. We only found what I would guess is called the blower-box that the blower is housed in. There is a tube in one...
Are you still riding on the OEM Michelin Run Flats? My ‘04 came with them and I put a replacement set on at 15K miles. Those were very practical if you had a flat tire obviously, and they were lots of fun because you could easily make the rear end slide in 90° corners and marvel as the car...
Hey guys,
Bad news for me today. Recently we’ve been having quite a bit of rain and the car has been outside at night. I’ve been noticing that my AC blower motor would squeal the next morning, for a few seconds, and then it was fine, until the next rain and dry out over night occurred. So I...
Not sure what exactly the tail of that car looks like, no one ever posts pics of it! But I saw a Gen III being tested in Germany (YouTube), they ran the two exhausts straight out the rear through the opening just below the trunk. It looked awful but I guess it’s one of their rules that pipes...
I have not heard of wrapping them, but that’s not saying that it won’t be effective! Just that I know nothing of how it may improve the temp issue.
But I did install Borla cat back exhaust for performance and a bonus was the temperature of the side sills is negligible now, much much cooler...
You probably are on the last few breaths of that battery and in need of a new one.
Take it to Walmart, if their service department is open in your area. Walmart has some of the best battery testing equipment around, better than auto parts stores.
eBay. There are several Viper dismantlers on that site that are good for impossible to find bits. But there are at least two Viper parts specialists with websites to source new but discontinued parts, Google and you’ll find them.
I’m not sure about your car, but the Gen III has that brake but...
If you just added both cans using a plain tube without a gauge on it, it is possible to put too much and the system won’t blow cold. Most auto parts stores hang on to a used ‘consumer friendly’ refill tube with a gauge (like in the image) that you can borrow and hook up to see if you have too...
You can clear the code using one of those readers that the auto parts stores sell and then see if it returns. If it does this write up may help you track down the culprit:

Good luck! And please...
Agree with you on the catalytic converter likely not being bad with only 22K miles.
Are you running some non standard gasoline (like super high octane race gas) or putting additives in your fuel?
The black rubber boot is supposed to have a black pinch release circular clip on it to retain it in place on the valve cover. I haven’t looked but isn’t there a twin of this on the other valve cover that you can look at?
For the one you show, the rubber boot on mine snapped in two pieces so I...
Do whatever you like. People here don’t tend to be rude or confrontational, I am no exception. But simply put, in the nicest way possible and with respect, you are completely wrong about basically everything on this topic. If you were to contact K&N, which I did, they will tell you that it...
I’m in Dallas; it’s been roughly 90°F in the mid to late mornings lately. It literally took 3.5 hours for both filters to fully dry, including residual condensation inside, while sitting in the heat of the morning sun. The best way is just to set them aside overnight, but that’s not always an...
What if the filtering efficiency is exactly the same? These are two different filter medias, multiple layers of cotton gauze soaked in oil versus compressed fibers (paper), so they use two different principles to capture dirt and dust. That doesn’t absolutely mean that one is more efficient...
How would you know that the K&N was responsible? Unless the car came with a K&N new from the factory there’s really no way to tell. I would tend to believe the K&N is a superior filter to paper.
I’ve read tons of comments by people about the oil contaminating the MAF, but K&N was reading too...
I think I will buy a new set the next time, its time consuming to clean these things! Drying alone takes 3-4 hours on a hot day or overnight, oiling all of the pleats is a pain on the fingers and the eyes, it’s just not worth the trouble.
I was thinking about cleaning my K&N filter but I decided to search to see just how often it’s supposed to be done. The K&N website says 50K miles! What? Is that for all applications including a Viper, or other more basic types of vehicles? The site says that the dirty filter actually filters...
I’ve been dreading to ask about this, but I’ve got a problem with my dash. It is raised up on the passenger side, if I press it gently it just goes down and seems to touch nothing under it. Anyone know what I am facing to repair this? My car still needs the airbag recall part changed out so...
If you have the invoice, why not just call the shop to get a better understanding of your car’s current configuration?
Personally, without any further information, I would just install new replacements of what was already in the car.
I just don’t understand why you want to buy a wrecked Viper and repair it, this is the 2nd one you’ve posted about. I could see “considering” one that had an accident but was properly repaired, there would be a huge discount in doing that, but I wouldn’t set about searching for one.
And the so...
My ‘04 had that same hose issue, I think all quick disconnect lines eventually have issues. Search the threads here for the vendor that builds the none OEM replacement set that does not have the quick disconnect. As far as installing it, several people offered me assistance on this forum...
