    I would purchase the new one. You know all the upgrading DC did with the new car and that was done to keep the engine and drive train from breaking. So you are going to add 200 hp and you think that the engine and drive train will take it...no way. They make these units to take so much HP...

    When I owned a NSX some guys added it the their transmissions which were notchy and they indicated it helped somewhat.

    GM has a product called friction modifier that thay use in their transmissions and axles. Has anyone have any reports on this product.

    I would wait until the road tests are in before I started braging. I think the vette motor is underrated and the viper motor could be overrated. Time will tell but I still love my viper roadster!

    First Oil Change

    Someone on the board indicated that DC changed the rod bearings in 05 and 06 vipers. They said that the clearances were opened up so at idle the oil pressure was lower. Also the bearing material was changed. Maybe that is the reason 0-40w is called for.

    Differences between 05-06 roadster

    Just purchased a new 05 roadster and would like to know the differences between the years. I noticed that the HP rating is lower in the 05. I take it DC went through the SAE process to rate 06 HP figures. Does that mean there are changes to the engines?

    I just purchased one of those 05 in the mid 60's. The only complaint is the cabin heat, I do not why DC included a heater. I think this is my first and last viper.

    DIY oil change

    Does the viper use a crush washer? I am new to viper land so before my first oil change I would like to know other than oil and filter is there any other parts I should have.
