Re: Interior panel removal for Dean\'s Camera Mount
It's a B*%*&, keep working it side to side. I remember having a tough time with the passenger side. It will flex some. It will come out, stick with it. When you get real frustrated take a break then go back at it. You'll get it.
You will...
I have had my check engine light come on several times over the last four years. The check engine light was just on two weeks ago. There are several sensors that can trip this light. I have learned that as long as I have oil presser and the water temp is ok I keep driving the car and after one...
Mine has two cracks, Both are running out from the slot that the e-brake comes thru. One from the mid or center, the other from the rear or towards the back of the car. I leaned on the console just behind the e-brake.

Frank,
My GTS is a "99" non ACR. Just to clear, I am comparing my time in the Viper with street tires to my time in the Panoz with Hoosier's on our tracks that are 2:00 min. +/- lap times. I was tiring to find some history from the Viper Days web site but it was not taking me back to 2001...
Don't bite me here guy's. I went thru the same thing and wound up buying a Panoz GTS race car. Why? well I run a bought 10 seconds faster (Average) than my near stock Viper and it's cheep to fix.
Also it is vary safe. Roll cage etc. I love my GTS Viper and try to track it at least once a year...
(Is your car under warranty? DC has warrantied many cracked center consoles because of the weak design (including mine). I think the last ones they put in the 02's had some sort of better support system.)
I do have the Maxcare or Maxicare? extended warrentee. I am past the 3 year 36k. I'll...
I leaned on the center consol to many times and it cracked. I removed it from the car and tried ABS glue, PVC glue and A-B mix epoxy. None of these types of glue will bond to this material. I have been testing off to the side so when I find the right type of adhesive I will have a clean surface...
Just lift the car, remove the wheel and look at how the pads are held in place. It is vary simple.
The needle nose pliers work just fine. (rears only)
Fronts, just push the pistons in.
Good Luck,
Dan
If I ever have a need to replace my Viper, my first call will be to WoodHouse, Bill P. or Bob if Bill is busy.
I can believe something went wrong, but I can't believe Woodhouse holds all the blame.
I do hope you will find resolution to your problem.
Dan
Gavin,
Are you interested in going to Button Willow Oct. 9,10. With a bunch of VCA members.
Dan
Go with Mikes numbers, I know it takes more than numbers but he is fast!
Check the different color combo's and years. Some strips are close together and some are a little farther apart.
Blue/white, Steal grey/silver, Red/silver. Close together
silver/Blue, White/Blue GT2,Yellow/Black. Farther apart.
Dan
Dixter,
I know what you mean, but I think there is some movement in the door itself. What I mean is the hinges may not move but the door will need to be realigned from time to time.
Dan
It's a snap!
Remove the small side cover (?) just in front of the door,
inside the "scalp of the hood". This will expose the door hinges. You need help with this part. Lessen the bolts that hold the hinge to the body and re tighten a little bit. Leave one, top or bottom a little looser than the...
I use an ice pick and punch a hole in the bottom of the filter to drain in before unscrewing it and removing from the engine. That helps from making a big mess. It would help to pick up one of the low jacks from Harbor freight ($169-$179)
this will allow you to lift the car without driving up on...
Hold on there ! I had this problem and it turned out to be the wire harness that passes thru from the body into the door. After a day or so the speaker in the door stopped working as well. Try holding the switch and open the door at the same time. It still may not give you any movement if it's...
Do clean your rotors before installing the Green pads.
Use sand paper and brake clean. This will give you smooth operation. The green pads will stick to any other resin left from the last pads used. What will happen is you will feel a bounce in the peddle.
Dan
Yea, He's just Lucky! Ha-Ha!
He is so lucky that the seasoned pro's just move off line and let him by!
Let's not forget our teacher Skip Thomas, He started this VRL that provided the base for a lot of us week end drivers as well as a few "Lucky" drivers.
Congrats to Paul and Mike. You guys...
Remove one of your front wheels and take a good look at your pads. Chances are if they have been there that long they are 1/2 or less. The grove in the center of the pad is around a 3/8 inch deep on new pads. The first half of the pads work a lot better than the second half due to the additional...
