    I'm heading to the drag strip this weekend. What tire pressures do you all recommend for the best traction when running stock run flats?

    Shifting too early-

    I've been playng a little at the drag strip and found if I shifted at about 5600 it yeilded my best time- 11.75 Peak HP is acheived at 5600 and peak torque is 4600. If you go above 5600 you really are not acheiving much and risk bouncing off the rev limiter.

    How is the sound and performance improvement by just adding Corsa side exhaust and eliminating the crossover pipe? I was also going to add the better insulation. Wanted to sound a little better without being obnoxious. Any feedback?

    Unfortunately in Maryland we have speed cameras. I don't think a radar detector will help.

    I second the tire pressure. My '03 was doing the same. I checked the tire pressures and it made a big difference. Still does it, but to a lesser degree.

    Robbie- I thought most owners were eliminating the factory crossover when installing Corsas? What would be the difference if you left it in vs. remove it?

    help shifting

    I ran my '03 about 12 times last month. I powered shifted thru all 4 gears and never missed one. Although I had issues when I first bought the car, I believe it just takes getting used to the "off center" pattern.
