Thanks Bruce, 99 & RTTT for the advice... definitely if i'm going lower, the springs have to be stiffer. there are many streets in UK cities and towns where it isn't possible to avoid speed humps (no warning signposts/ 1 way/ no room to turn around). have checked the lowering caps and so far max...
after the fascia underside lip clipping the deck a few times on a recent long roadtrip, i'm gonna have to scrub the idea of installing the Eibach 1" drop kit and look for 3/4" springs... can anyone offer a recommendation please? heard KW springs do 1" but not finding much on the www (from USA or...
so far so good - plate legal requirement in UK, but many vipers run without - guess the stripes help scramble a cop's mind when coming from the other way! occassionally hear other car type drivers getting ticket for no plate. if i goto an event where police may be watching, i stick on stickers...
Toyo R888s feel good! . . . although i 'spose the wheel alignment session did help too. No problems in the regular uk rain - caught out again on the way back from Silverstone on sunday....
after getting the viper out today and checking the tires on the inaccessible side of the car (my garage is....small) and finding:
48th week of 2000! ('DOT' is just off left of shot)
(reads 419 - 41st week of 1999!?)
...the garage now stinks of hot rubber :D
>>>>> new tires on end of week
;)
didn't think these were the right numbers.... guess they're on the inside face of each of the tires... can see the date info 'loud and clear' on the new set i was about to put on, but just wanted to be sure the present tire set really were over 6yrs old. i've had my RT since sept 2007. i'm not...
apart from the wheel size info, these are the only numbers on one of my Mich PSs (on a 2002 Rt/10):
e2 026549
VR 470 35-396-01
can anyone please confirm i'm reading the age right: made in 6th week of 2001?
pretty sure the wheels are original factory fit, but they've still got so much tread...
looking for pics of above wheels (preferrably on an RT) - i know there might not be any with C12s - think they're new.... could anyone with pictures and/or feedback please post?
thanks in advance :2tu:
do 6 lug c10s exist?
going side exit on my red 02 rt - looking for a suitable way of protecting the pipe exit surround at the sill rear (keeping the existing, stock sills on) and am curious to see if something like the SRT moulded surround would be flexible to fit around the pipe??
(just to check: is the surround...
RT/10 100
GTS don't care
ACR don't care
just waiting for my first UK summer of RT ownership and hoping it's a hot one after the wash out last year..... top down, loud and fast!! :D :D
:jawdrop: if you're an x-pat you'll know how utterly out of this world having a police escort and it allowing y'all to do 110mph on public highways is !! in certain counties here driver groups are not even allowed to convoy with more than 5 (i think) cars at a time.... let alone have a...
shame there was no-one like you down round my way! after countless replies from local companies saying they couldn't guarantee decent lines on the curves, i did it myself. with the stripes being black, the few creases right in under some of the bends don't show. i was pretty happy with it...
:nono:
if anything the stripe width is still too narrow for a car this wide (i'm happy to stick being the only red and black RT over here :)
p.s. i rarely use the hard top, hence no stripes yet!
