Being rather tall I had the same problems with my seat.
I took the car to a car saddler/upholsterer as we say in Austria.
He replaced the filling of the lateral shoulder bolster by a much softer filling, thus the shape of it remained the same but the material was much more elastic and flexible...
@Darbgnik
You´re right, there is the amplifier underneath the passenger´s seat.:(
At least they were clever enough not to install it under the driver´s seat.....:D
I´m 6"3 and I had installed the 1"-seat lowering kit.
That was not too bad, but finally I decided to install the 2"-lowering kit.
As for the thigh support: the rear of the seat came down more than just two inches and the guy who did the job for me managed to adjust the height of the front part...
The hood of my 2004 SRT-10 has exactly the same dip on the driver´s side.
First time I noticed it I was really horrified.
I took my car to the dealer, we checked the alignment of the hood carefully and found out that it was absolutely perfect apart from the sag.
Since that "fault" is only...
Take the red one, and you have a nice eye-catcher.
Take the silver one, and you have a beauty.
It´s up to you.
I myself wouldn´t like to drive a red car every day, and I bought my Viper for daily driving.....
If you reside in Denmark and you buy a new car in Denmark you have to pay the net price plus 180% tax plus 25%VAT..... that explains a lot, I think.:(
Must be unbelievable for people in Florida.....:omg:
I got my first SRT-10 a few weeks ago and in the meantime I can hardly remember where I parked my nice C5 Convertible.....poor little thing :(
Of course you can´t compare the Viper with a Vette..... it´s just not fair!:nono::D
Inspecting a Viper personally before you purchase it is a must, I think.
Plus, in my special case fortunately it wasn´t too far away at all: just one 10hrs transatlantic flight and a 2hrs drive from Orlando to Saint Petersburg and the same way back afterwards.
Guess I was just lucky.....
Now that´s great!
Please click on the ebay-link once again.....it seems Mr.Obama just passed by or at least gave them a call....."it´s time for a change".....
:lmao:
@rcl4668
"Bear in mind that the 2 inch lowering kit will fix the seat in place so you weill no longer be able to slide fore and aft (although you will be able to adjust the recline angle)."
Oh, didn´t I mention that I was looking for the perfect excuse for not letting my girlfriend behind...
Hello, this is the first question of the new Viper owner in Austria:
I am 6´3 tall and will use my snake for daily driving, so I am highly interested in ordering the 2" seat lowering assembly offered by Northwind Engineering.
But, for heavens sake, it seems they don´t have an e-mail...
Thank you everybody for the kind welcome.
As for the attention you get when you drive a Viper in good old Europe: waiting for the traffic lights to turn green sometimes makes me, being some kind of introverted person, feel a little bit uncomfortable - quite a lot of people stare at you, some...
Hello from Vienna, Austria!
And no, it´s not Australia, sorry for that.
Austria is a very small country located next to Germany, absolutely no kangaroos and definitely just a handful of Vipers to be found here.....
The first time I drove a Viper was in 2003, when I went to Miami Beach...
